If you love your pets do NOT take them to banfield! They said there were “no dogs with parvo” and that it was “safe” to bring her to receive her next round of shots and that she would be isolated from the other dogs. Well two days later my puppy started having the symptoms of parvo. We took her to a different vet and sure enough she had it. We did everything we could to save her. We called to figure out did they put her with other dogs and lied. Well sure enough an employee talked to my mother and said they in fact did not isolate her they put her in the same cage that a previous dog had parvo! That should’ve been not only communicated, but it should’ve never happened in the first place!
Fast forward to my mistake of taking another dog to this “hospital” and getting the useless “insurance.” Not only did I not receive the trifecta that is on my contract as a 12 month supply but they refused to give me any info on my account. Apparently, my account had lapsed due to me getting a new debit card and I didn’t know I had to call and reconnect the new card, however, they NEVER contacted me to let me know my payments were behind. I had to pay $700 to finish the contract out. I went up to the Banfield and Shenandoah to inquire about the trifectas that I am owed since my account is completely paid for and I never received it and the shift lead mail up there. Tried to tell me that the $700 was just paying for her very first appointment. That is ridiculous because my very first appointment I had to pay over $400 because nothing they did was actually covered by the insurance. At that time, they only gave me one pill of Trixis and never once sent me my subscription like the heavyset woman who signed me up said what happened. None of them know what they’re talking about. They are just a mouthpiece for this ignorant, useless insurance and if I were you, I would run as fast as physically possible away from Banfield and their crappy service.

There’s an employee at this hospital who likes to argue with people on Facebook making racist remarks. And I will be filing a lawsuit against him his name is Chris Box, apparently he’s a veterinarian physician.

My dog went in completely healthy and somehow seized for the first time and died.
I don't even know how to begin this, my dog went in just for a checkup because she had some drops of blood in her urine(she has experienced this before so it wasn't anything too crazy and it was starting to clear up, but i just wanted her checked out, of course). she was six years old, a healthy chi/pom mix. I was called and told she had a UTI so I agreed to the antibiotic shot, convenia, they always give this shot to her, she's used to it, no side effects. they said she was ready for pickup, I got there about an hour or two after their call because I had an errand and traffic was horrible. When I arrived to pick her up, they put my partner and I in a room to tell us she had a seizure??? Not sure why I didn't even receive a call when the seizure happened. The second thing is as the doctor was explaining in the room, a nurse needed him for an emergency and he went into the vetting area, when he came back into the room he told me my baby's heart stopped... He had no idea how. Which is amazing to me because how did she go in for a UTI checkup and end up passing away unexpectedly. No history of seizures or illnesses either. And lastly, I was supposed to receive an email from them about everything they gave her and even a call from someone they were supposedly reporting the death to? No call, no explanation, and no email. I've been going to this Banfield for over ten years. I am genuinely baffled because this is my first bad experience. I've been left completely in the dark on a situation that ACTUALLY matters.

They already had my records forwarded. Very sweet. The Doctor and Vet Assistant were very kind and professional. I will say my cats do not react well when pinching their neck lol I wouldn’t want you guys to do that again 😅 they get stressed out. It doesn’t disable them even with me haha but thank you guys for taking care of my babies :) and being flexible with your schedule

We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
