  Petco is my go-to for all my pet needs! The store is always clean, well-stocked, and the staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I always find the high-quality food and unique toys I'm looking for. Excellent grooming services too! Highly recommend for every pet parent

  I don’t blame the groomer for most, and in fact I completely understand being understaffed; however, I think 6 hours and no communication from the staff is completely unprofessional. I was going to let that go but less than a week after the visit I found live fleas on my dog, who lives indoors and doesn’t interact with other pets, meaning the closest he’s gotten was petco, who didn’t inform me he had any pre-existing ones. Staff was nice for the most part, likely stressed since my dog’s scheduled groomer called out, however, the way it was handled was very wrong and likely unsanitary considering my dog now has fleas and only one possible way of contracting them. I also saw my dog, still wet get sent to the back while the groomer started on another, the same dog that had been there 4 hours at that point. I get being understaffed but at that point I would’ve preferred a cancellation. I am a full time student so I haven’t gotten the opportunity to address this until now, but seriously check before you send your pets here

  James at Petco on Texas Avenue is one of the best assets a business can have. I went in on Tuesday this week and was amazed at his desire to help jovially. He was very acute to listening to my pet’s needs, and making double sure that was accomplished. He had to clean up a mess also I accidently made; the whole time assuring me it was more than ok and as I felt very apologetic and upset I made a mess, he was jovial, assuring and VERY kind. At the checkout, he attended multiple questions jovially, kindly, intelligently and mainly with attentiveness and nice energy. He went up and over to be sure a new awards program was understood and the reciept was easily read because the register began acting up, all the way handling it with kindness and accuracy apologizing for any time issues it may cause. ( It didn’t and I was so impressed). He was having to handle another customer and phone call also, but he was gracious as well as he was attending duality, handling the business before him with joy. Super great employee and I was HUGELY impressed. It WILL be my store from here on! It provides great service with vigor I have seen in no other place. Thank you James for making thisPetco, MY store!
