  Not sure if she is new but Erica was super unhelpful. Asked her a question and she pointed and walked away? I had a follow up but guess i wasn't worth her time.

  I absolutely love this Petco and the people here. Mario, Erica, Kim, Clarissa, and the whole team have taken such amazing care of me and all of my fur and scale babies. They’ve helped me through everything, from everyday needs to last minute emergencies. I’ve even had situations where I had to send a DoorDash order and called the store, and they made sure everything was taken care of. Thank you, Mario! They’ve given me great recommendations for my Great Dane, helped me transition my cat to healthier litter and food, and were even part of my journey adopting my beautiful ball python, who is now family. I’ve also loved attending their events and getting to try samples my animals actually enjoy. But more than anything, it’s the people. They genuinely care, always ask about my pets, and have become more like friends than just a store team. I look forward to coming in every week. Truly one of the best Petco teams out there.

  Mario at the Westlake location is truly amazing and always goes above and beyond to help me navigate the store. I have two cats with medical issues and another who is incredibly picky, and he’s been so patient and helpful every time. The store is always well organized and has a great selection! Mario absolutely loves animals and despite the fact that he does not live near the store - when we had the ice storm in late Jan - he managed to drive all the way down to the shop when most of us couldn’t get out of our driveways! Mario went in to make sure the animals were ok and checked and spent time with the rescues - Petco partners with to help find their forever homes and continues their philanthropy to save lives! One of the adoptive cats - Jude 🐾! A truly happy Kitty! Mario has a great compassion for animals and a wonderful heart!

  I’ve been going to this location for 2 years. I’ve gotten 4 geckos and a bearded dragon and have had only the best interactions with Mario and the team there. They are always super helpful. Would totally recommend this petco location. They are amazing!!!!

  I want to share a positive experience about Kim at the Petco location in Westlake (3201 Bee Caves Rd., Austin, TX). I shop at this store at least every other week, sometimes once a week, and whenever Kim is there she consistently goes above and beyond. Kim is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with any questions I have. You can truly tell that she enjoys what she does and cares about the customers who come into the store. During my most recent visit, I bought about six cans of food and a small bag of treats. Kim double-bagged my items before handing them to me- without me even asking for a double bag. (I know It may sound like a small detail, but it actually makes a BIG difference.) Most of the time when I only get one bag, it ends up tearing or I have to re-bag everything when I get to my car. That small extra step showed a level of thoughtfulness and attention to detail that I really appreciated. Employees like Kim are a big reason why I keep coming back to Petco. I rarely take the time to write reviews or contact management, but I felt she absolutely deserved the recognition. I sincerely hope upper management recognizes the great work she does. Kim is a standout employee and someone who represents your company extremely well.
