I’ve used Banfield for the last 5 years while having my rescue dog Maddy. It’s convenient and makes sense for us as dog owners. Maddys history indicates she was abused by her previous owner and surrendered after having puppies and needs a little extra understanding because of this. I just want to say how thankful I am for the team that handled her teeth cleaning and check up. I understand that in that the past because of policies put in place by Covid I wasn’t aloud to be with her and gave her the prescribed medication to make it less scary for her but she would still be terrified in past check ups. She was in the shelter for 3 months before I rescued her and hearing dogs in distress similar to her experience in the shelter scares her and she can nip even with the prescription medication. This location was incredibly understanding and I was aloud to be with her for the prep before she was put under anesthesia. I started to tear up because this level of understanding for dogs like Maddy is incredible and incredible for the dog parents that need help when their pups need care. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I appreciated it so much.

My dog had a sarcoma (cancerous) that they assured me was a lipoma, thus harmless. I asked two different vets at this facility if I should have it tested and they both dismissed my concern. After they charged a $30 "injection fee" on top of the cost of his Cytopoint injection, I changed vets. Thank goodness I did because the new vet caught the sarcoma immediately and removed it within 3 days. I highly recommend Dr. Loretta Farmer at Animal Medical Center. My boy would have died of cancer if I had stayed with Banfield.

After rescuing a dog and worsening gi symptoms we came here for evaluation. The initial dvm was amazing. Explained everything, kind, thorough. I bought the wellness subscription based on what a great experience it was. My dog was diagnosed with giardia and repeat testing was recommended after treatment. We went back for repeat testing and vaccine boosters. Initially there was confusion on thexstaff part if they should retest. They did. He was positive. Dr moore assured me that it is bery common to have the need for repeat treatment despite the fact that my infection control was on point. She also advised against the vaccine boosters since he was positive yet asymptomatic. So I um fortunately followed her advice. Yesterday i take my dog in again for repeat testing and vaccines. I don't hear from them for 4 hours. They forget they need to retest despite the notes. When they do retest hes positive still! This has now been 4 weeks if treatment. Cleaning poop daily. Washing toys and bowls regularly in bleach water. Only after i protesr do they do a different more accurate test that shows hes negative. They give him the vaccines but because i listened to their advice its out of the 4 week window and i need to come back and pay out of pocket in 3 weeks because the plan wint cover it! First round was given at emancipet too! I have now spent over 700 at this point in addition to the health plan monthly fee! The initial 400 was probably valid. The last 300 has def been an uneducated money grab testing incorrectly. Ordering more meds. And failing to advise appropriately with all the info regarding vaccines. Furthermore the exam rooms are dirty.

I’ve been going to this site off and on for years. Terrible customer service, poor communication, and frequent mistakes. I thought I would give this site another try but they continue to disappoint. After my last interaction with the front desk I would give them zero stars but the rating system makes that impossible. Also, their fenced off potty area was very full of poop, including diarrhea. Is that where they take our dogs? I’m giving my dog’s paws a thorough wash when we get home to prevent him from getting diarrhea . I’ll keep going to the other locations.

Taking a sick pet to the vet is already stressful, and my recent visit here made an unexpectedly hard situation even harder. I was deeply worried for my cat, and although I knew veterinary care has become more expensive over the years, the lack of transparency made everything feel overwhelming. Costs weren’t clearly explained up front — the appointment began with a basic exam, and then more and more recommended tests were added. Declining anything felt uncomfortable, even though I simply cannot afford everything. The entire process was hectic: traveling a long distance, needing to buy a carrier because of their policy, filling out paperwork, and facing steep prices before I even understood my cat’s diagnosis. The veterinarian told me the basics but didn’t really walk me through what was going on or what to expect. Or try to understand me and build a relationship , she just did the do you have any questions. Didn't really answer why my cat got sick. all happened so fast, and I felt like I had to figure everything out on my own in the moment. The one person who showed compassion was the cost coordinator/tech. She openly acknowledged how expensive the care is and even mentioned she advises friends to look for more affordable clinics. That honesty meant a lot, but it also confirmed how high-price, complex, and corporate this clinic has become. I told her and left feeling upset and uncertain. I didn’t feel I received value equal to the cost, and the overall experience — the pressure, the paperwork, the rushed explanations, the financial strain, and the emotional weight — was extremely difficult. Veterinary expenses have skyrocketed, and for many people like me, the costs are simply not manageable. I don’t think caring for a pet’s basic health should be more expensive than many human medical services. I will give my cat the medication I received, and thankfully she’s doing a bit better. But I won’t be returning to this clinic. It wasn’t just the price; it was the lack of transparency, the stress, and the feeling of being alone and overwhelmed during a situation when I really needed clarity and support. I hope veterinary care becomes more compassionate, more transparent, and more accessible. Right now, too many pet owners are put in an impossible position. And Sorry For your inconvenience isn't going to cut it. I hated the entire experience.
