Many thanks to Dr. Lorenzini for taking care of our dog in a knowledgeable and professional manner. He was very attentive to our issue and promptly organized the X-rays we needed the same week and prescribed the necessary medication.

I dropped off my dog for a routine exam and anti-inflammatory medication refill on Saturday. The check-in was fine, but they didn’t discuss the pricing for the meds. They quoted $60 for a 6-month pro-heart injection and $120 for a 12-month one. I told them I preferred the 12-month option. A few hours later, the vet called to confirm the exam findings and let me know I could pick up my dog. She said they only gave my dog the 6-month injection and would refill the prescription, but no price was mentioned. I arrived to pick up my dog and was told the total was $180… much higher than I expected. The receptionist stated the medication was $120, which felt much higher than what I’d paid in the past. After paying, they brought my dog out, but the girl struggled to undo their slip leashes so I had to help her get herself together. I could tell she was having a bad day. After that kerfuffle, I left with my dog and we went home. As I was about 5 minutes from home, I realized the $120 medication I paid for was never given to me. I called the location to confirm they still had it, and the phone rang for at least 5 minutes before I reached someone. They said they had the medication and told me to call again when I got to the store so they could run out the bottle to me. I arrived at the store, and to no one’s surprise the phone went unanswered. I decided to run into the store, thinking it would be a quick exchange. The girl at the front desk was on the phone and didn’t even look up when I approached. I waited for 5 minutes while still trying to get through on the phone. Someone finally answered in the back and I asked them for the medication. When brought it out to me, I asked if there could be any discount or appeasement offered for the inconvenience they caused. The girl advised me to return another day to speak with her manager. I asked her when I should return, and that’s when she told me she couldn’t provide her managers schedule. I asked why she would advise me to come back another day if she couldn’t even tell me what day I should come back. That’s when she began to get upset with me for pointing out how her suggestion wasn’t an appropriate or feasible one. I asked if she could leave a message for her manager, Natasha, to call me when she was back in office. She replied yes and as I was in the middle of asking if she needed my phone number, she walked away and went back to the secured area. Mid-sentence, she just left. Not sure why she thought that was going to be acceptable customer service. Instead of becoming escalated, I left and went home and waited for Natasha to call. On Monday, I received a call from Banfield. Thinking it was Natasha, I quickly answered. It was just someone doing the routine follow-up “how’s your dog doing after the appointment” call. I let them know my dog was fine and asked about Natasha calling me regarding my concerns. They assured me they’d leave a note too. It’s now been 3 full days and I’ve received nothing from Natasha or anyone else that could address my concerns. I’m beginning to wonder if Natasha doesn’t care about customer experiences and maybe poor customer service is a cornerstone of this location, or if the two girls I spoke with didn’t leave her a message. Perhaps they’re worried that their Practice Manager will discover the truth — their customer service is so terrible that they’re going to continue to lose customers completely. This experience has been enough for me to strongly consider cancelling my long-standing Wellness Plans and go to one of their competitors instead. Pet parents, there’s better places out there with professional, mature employees who show care and compassion towards pets and their parents. Avoid this place. You’ll thank me.

I’ve used Banfield for the last 5 years while having my rescue dog Maddy. It’s convenient and makes sense for us as dog owners. Maddys history indicates she was abused by her previous owner and surrendered after having puppies and needs a little extra understanding because of this. I just want to say how thankful I am for the team that handled her teeth cleaning and check up. I understand that in that the past because of policies put in place by Covid I wasn’t aloud to be with her and gave her the prescribed medication to make it less scary for her but she would still be terrified in past check ups. She was in the shelter for 3 months before I rescued her and hearing dogs in distress similar to her experience in the shelter scares her and she can nip even with the prescription medication. This location was incredibly understanding and I was aloud to be with her for the prep before she was put under anesthesia. I started to tear up because this level of understanding for dogs like Maddy is incredible and incredible for the dog parents that need help when their pups need care. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I appreciated it so much.

My dog had a sarcoma (cancerous) that they assured me was a lipoma, thus harmless. I asked two different vets at this facility if I should have it tested and they both dismissed my concern. After they charged a $30 "injection fee" on top of the cost of his Cytopoint injection, I changed vets. Thank goodness I did because the new vet caught the sarcoma immediately and removed it within 3 days. I highly recommend Dr. Loretta Farmer at Animal Medical Center. My boy would have died of cancer if I had stayed with Banfield.

After rescuing a dog and worsening gi symptoms we came here for evaluation. The initial dvm was amazing. Explained everything, kind, thorough. I bought the wellness subscription based on what a great experience it was. My dog was diagnosed with giardia and repeat testing was recommended after treatment. We went back for repeat testing and vaccine boosters. Initially there was confusion on thexstaff part if they should retest. They did. He was positive. Dr moore assured me that it is bery common to have the need for repeat treatment despite the fact that my infection control was on point. She also advised against the vaccine boosters since he was positive yet asymptomatic. So I um fortunately followed her advice. Yesterday i take my dog in again for repeat testing and vaccines. I don't hear from them for 4 hours. They forget they need to retest despite the notes. When they do retest hes positive still! This has now been 4 weeks if treatment. Cleaning poop daily. Washing toys and bowls regularly in bleach water. Only after i protesr do they do a different more accurate test that shows hes negative. They give him the vaccines but because i listened to their advice its out of the 4 week window and i need to come back and pay out of pocket in 3 weeks because the plan wint cover it! First round was given at emancipet too! I have now spent over 700 at this point in addition to the health plan monthly fee! The initial 400 was probably valid. The last 300 has def been an uneducated money grab testing incorrectly. Ordering more meds. And failing to advise appropriately with all the info regarding vaccines. Furthermore the exam rooms are dirty.
