I have been a banfield customer for years for my four dogs and after the first year of the OWP plan premiums, I realized this was a premium cost at nearly $60 per pet per month (nearly $3,000 per year). I buckled down and justified it because it was convenient to not have to pay out of pocket for routine items. However, as time went on, extra X, Y, and Z fees here and their, I ended up spending hundreds of dollars on top of these premiums every other visit. After their last round of checkups, I spend over $300 for the luxury of banfield and I decided to cancel their OWP plans and move them over to a local pet clinic nearby which had much better reviews and a no BS cost for annual visits ended up being less than a 1/3 of the banfield cost without the overhyped corporate feel of banfield. When I called to cancel, I was told my only option was to either not auto-renew and continue paying the 8-10 monthly payments per pet, or pay their early cancellation fees of, wait for it, $1300 in total at the end of the day, which is ridiculous, but still far less than what the monthly premiums were. Funnily enough, I had to call a separate number specifically for cancellations, the people answering the phones were very rude, shocker. Avoid Banfield at all costs and keep your wallet in your pocket instead of theres. Check out local pet hospitals and clinics instead.

Lucky to even get 1 star! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!! The people on the phone don’t even seem to care what’s going on with your pet?! And the lady on the phone kept saying I guess I can do that, I guess we can set this up? Customer service is very important and this clinic is lacking so bad

The vet I saw ran off at the mouth and would not let me get my questions out. I got so confused I left there without the answers I needed. I will not see this person again. I had to ask the tech if she was a vet. She dressed as the tech and neither wore a name tag.
