We have been customers for over a year now and have adopted 2 cats here. Today I had an appointment, it was her wellness exam & I was 3 minutes late. I had my infant son, my 4 year old daughter and my partner with me (plus one of our cats). They refused to see us today unless we did a drop-off (super inconvenient, I don’t want to drive there twice & i don’t want to leave my cats with them unattended), I said no & the receptionist still tried pushing it on us where we still told her no, this time telling her we did not feel comfortable doing so.
We have a wellness plan with them for one of our cats (she was the youngest & the kitten plan made sense at the time), before leaving she asked if I wanted to reschedule (absolutely not, you all just wasted my time) I told her no but I *would* like to cancel my plan so I can get her established with our other vet because that was ridiculous. I’m then told they aren’t able to cancel the plan, I have to call a number to cancel (weird, because I signed up for the plan there). I’m currently on a waitlist to be called back to cancel my plan. The whole ordeal was absolutely ridiculous from every single point; start to finish. I would never recommend this practice to anyone. They have ALWAYS tried pushing for pet drop offs every single time I’ve ever made her an appointment here, it’s off putting and it’s like asking me to leave my child at the Dr’s office alone. What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
