A couple of days ago my dog had surgery for a tumor and with that he would recover. I took him to the clinic well after the surgery they told us that everything had gone well. The next day they informed us that he had already eaten a little. After a few minutes they called us to tell us that it was serious. They called me to go see him. They had him on oxygen. After I looked at him, I couldn't see anything good. I told them to save him, I left the place and 15 minutes later they called us to inform us that he had died. I think they did not give him enough care to save him. This makes me very sad.
We had to bring our dog into the emergency room late on Saturday evening. Starting with the receptionist, the night staff was invaluable, compassionate, and caring. They were swamped, but when we entered the exam room, the vet tech took the time to listen, examine our Nash, and consult with the vet. Despite being very busy, the vet took the time to listen to us, examine our dog, and communicate with us. Nash ended up needing to stay the night, possibly two nights. Before the vet left her shift, she called us and gave an update.
My wife and kids stopped in the next morning to visit with Nash and get an update. While there was a stark difference between the night shift staff and the day shift, it doesn't detract from the five-star service provided by the night staff. My wife and I went back later Sunday evening and had another excellent experience with the night staff and the Vet. Tech (who literally sat on the floor while talking with us and explaining things) was outstanding. The same Vet that treated Nash the night before came out and, once again, explained everything to us in detail, asking us several times if we had any questions.

AMC is truly amazing! We brought our dog in for possible poisoning & they saved our sweet Eve’s life. They were very straightforward & determined to find answered for us all while keeping us informed & being honest if they weren’t sure of something. They even helped break down our options for the finance side & helped us when filling out application for credit. They genuinely care about & love these animals & do their absolute best to help them & bring peace of mind to their owners. Thank you AMC for your amazing service & saving Eve’s life.

We had an emergency situation when our pup started having seizures, and the team at this ER veterinary hospital truly saved his life. From the moment we arrived, they treated our beloved dog with urgency, compassion, and incredible skill. They kept him for two days, monitored him closely, and kept us informed every step of the way. It was an incredibly scary experience, but knowing he was in such capable and caring hands made all the difference. We are beyond grateful to the veterinarians and staff for their dedication, kindness, and expertise. We will never forget what they did for our puppy, and we highly recommend this hospital to anyone facing an emergency with their pet.

** ZERO Star Review IF IT ALLOWED**
I have been a loyal client of Animal Medical Center for over 20 years, but after my recent experience on 11/28, I can confidently say I will never return—and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
I arrived with my 95-lb dog who was in obvious distress and, as I now know, experiencing organ failure. The parking lot was full, so I pulled up to the front while my daughter ran in to check us in. A vet tech came out, checked vitals, and went back inside to get a stretcher. He asked me to finish checking in.
When I entered, the two receptionists were visibly arguing with each other about taking more patients—even though the waiting room was full of people who clearly needed help. I overheard them saying it would be a 6-hour wait and that everyone should just “go to VEG,” another emergency clinic down the street. If they had time to argue among themselves, they have time to see these people who had been waiting!
As I’m checking in, they asked to confirm my phone number, but they had pulled the wrong chart. Instead of correcting the mistake, one of the receptionists looked at me and said, “How do you expect me to contact you?” I explained we’ve used this clinic for 20 years and my number has never changed. I wrote it down while they continued bickering behind the desk.
I asked if they wanted me to wait in my car while they brought the stretcher out. She asked the vet tech, and he raised his voice and said, “I done told you it’ll be a while!”
At that point, all I needed was direction—my dog was suffering, I was blocking several cars in, and no one seemed to care.
I fully understand emergency clinics get overwhelmed, especially after a holiday. But what this establishment seems to have forgotten is that people often come to them on some of the darkest, most terrifying moments of their lives. Compassion and communication are not optional—they’re essential. Instead, we were treated as if we were an inconvenience.
I told them right then that the entire demeanor of the staff felt wrong and that I would take my dog somewhere else. We rushed him to our regular vet at Cascade, where he was treated with kindness, urgency, and empathy. Unfortunately, after a weekend of hospitalization, he didn’t survive. But the care and compassion we received at Cascade will stay with us forever.
Animal Medical Center has been declining for years, but this experience was the final straw. After what happened with our dog, I cannot recommend them to anyone. Animal Medical Center seen our dog 2 years prior and misdiagnosed him with a stroke- we now know it was Cushings Disease. Things could have been so very different if they would worry less about the all mighty dollar and show some compassion. They fat shamed him and acted terrified because of his breed. If you are scared, you are in the wrong field. He was fat due to a disease and he was the sweetest boy who walked this face of the earth. For the record, money is nothing to me when it comes to situations like this. I would have taken out a second mortgage for more time with my boy. Hear me loud and clear- DO NOT use Animal Medical Center! As an animal parent- you are their best advocate!
