- RBRick Baur6 days ago5.0The staff at Madison location are fantastic. I called this morning b/c our yorkie was experiencing some health issues. They told me to bring her right away. The vet tech was amazing and very caring. She fully understood what concerns we had. She even ask if she could have the blanket that we bought her to keep with her. Dr Brandon Newton was the attending Vet Doctor. Very amazing individual. He spoke with us and give a complete review of what was going and what he plans to do in the upcoming days. I got to say the staff is amazing and awesome. You really do care about the families and the pets of these families. Keep up the great work.

The staff know my dog and it makes such a difference in my peace of mind to know what he’s got coming up and also that i can count on going to appointments for free outside of normal appointments. also my dog has allergies and with our plan we can get $50 cytopoint shots. i just feel like we are cared for.

I drove more than 45 minutes to get there and they had no understanding of why I was a little late. No questions answered. Nothing. I returned home and immediately cancelled the wellness program for my dog (who I had going to a Banfield since she was a pup… three years). I also renewed it yesterday and called to get it refunded but even the person on the other line was unhelpful. I never had an experience with such a rude front desk person. I never will return to a Banfield. My dog had a double ear infection and needed desperate care and there was none to be given.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
What types of veterinary services does Banfield Pet Hospital offer?
Banfield Pet Hospital offers preventive care including vaccinations, dental care, parasite control, nutritional and behavioral counseling, comprehensive exams, spay/neuter, microchipping, DNA tests, and end-of-life care.
Does Banfield Pet Hospital provide emergency veterinary care?
No, Banfield does not provide emergency care services. You can call during hospital hours for urgent care advice or get referrals. For emergencies outside hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
