Was discriminated against by a female who said she was the manager but wouldn’t give her name. I went in with my American With Disabilities Act compliant, off-leash Service Animal. I have shopped at this location often over the past 3 years, 11 months without issue. A female rudely told me I had to leash my dog. I pointed out he is a Service Animal (vest is a big clue) and told her he was a legal Off-Leash Service Animal. Her response was to point at the door and tell me I had to leave. I attempted to explain the federal law to her but she stated she knew the law. When I asked to speak to the manager, she said she was the manager but refused to give me her name. One of the groomers came out and asked me if Krogers allowed me to walk around with my Service Animal off-leash. My response was “Yes, always.” The question itself is also a violation of ADA. After initially being told to leave I started recording with my phone, hi h is legal in the State of Tennessee, so I have concrete proof of what was said as well as who said it. I have contacted the Civil Rights Enforcement Division within the Attorney Generals Office for the State of Tennessee, and will follow-up with a formal written complaint. NOTE: I provided my name and phone number to one of the groomers who stated she would contact “corporate” and pass on the information. I had asked for contact information for the regional manager in order to keep this issue at the lowest level possible but my request was refused and no one from PETCO has bothered to call me. I am a 100% Disabled o bat Vet and my current Service Animal has been with me for 8 years. We went through over a year of training together, he has been recognized nationally and is well known in many stores and other facilities in Farragut and West Knoxville as he is with me 100% of the time. Perhaps after this review a responsible member of PETCO will contact me. NO ONE, Veteran or not should every be treated this way. If the female who said she was the manager, is indeed the manager, she should be fired. If she isn’t the manager, she should be fired for her egregious behavior.

I have to say that this was the cleanest and nicest Petco I've been in, ever. I had stopped coming into Petco's and going to the competitor instead because of rude associates and cleanliness. Well this location has changed my mind and I will definitely be back. Everyone was friendly and it was clean, well stocked and kept up. You gained back a customer. I hope other stores start following your example.

Took our big pitbull to get his first professional grooming. They did a good job. They made sure he was comfortable throughout his experience and he came out all clean and sweet smelling.

Lauren with Petco refused to do my dog’s nails today because the flea and tick collar could not be removed. She was distracted. She didn’t really wanna help us when we got there. She asked if we had an appointment. I explained to her on our website that you don’t make an appointment that you can come in for nail grinding I would never go here again

The store employee was so incredibly knowledgeable about the different brands and benefits of each dog food. Our Max stopped eating Natural Balance for no apparent reason at all. She said, “Let’s try Science Diet first, and if he doesn’t like it, we’ll keep trying until we find the right food for him.” Great news! Max loves Science Diet, so we’re good to go! AMAZING!!! I appreciate her so much!
