- BBBrandon BraneckiMar 19, 20261.0BEWARE. Banfield is Extremely negligent with our animals. We have a total of 5 animals that we brought to banfield. 3 dogs, two cats. Our Great Pyrenees has a severe neurological condition that requires him to be on gabapentin (they prescribed it years ago to him) and they have been refusing to fill it since they want to reassess him every time due to them not being able to keep the same vet for more than a few months . When asked if they can give him a bridge dose to get him through they said no. When asked if he can come in the same day to be reassessed in order receive the new script they said no. We asked if there was anything else they could do to prevent him from going into withdrawals and having severe neurological symptoms THEY SAID NO. BANFIELD DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR ANIMAL, JUST YOUR MONEY. Not to mention, we are “wellness members” with two of our dogs. They refused to see our cat who was an established patient there for a routine spay procedure. Since we weren’t “wellness members” with our cat. They said it would be a year out. A YEAR. I went ahead and said yes to be put on a waiting list and they did not call! Last but not least, they gave my little dog the “wrong shot” and had nothing to say besides “sorry about that” If you love your animals DO NOT GO TO BANFIELD. You can pay hundreds per month for their wellness plan and they will still give you sub-par care.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
