I scheduled a vaccination appointment weeks in advance for my dog and the appointment was cancelled the day of the appointment with no explanation. I rescheduled with a different Vetco clinic, the appointment was accepted and then cancelled within 5 minutes of me booking. Now my dog is behind on his vaccinations.

I visited Petco intending to purchase multiple Dojo Loach, but the staff refused to sell the fish, stating they were “not comfortable” with the housing I described. While I understand exercising caution when animals are being surrendered or rehomed, this is a retail business whose purpose is to sell pets to qualified and responsible owners. I have over ten years of experience as an aquatic animal owner, and based on what I observed, the conditions in this store were far more concerning than my home setup. Multiple tanks contained dead fish, with other fish actively feeding on them, indicating poor maintenance and neglect. Even more troubling, I observed what appeared to be 50–75 goldfish housed in a single 50‑gallon tank, if it is even that big, which is widely recognized as severe overcrowding and constitutes animal abuse. Goldfish are high‑waste, fast‑growing fish that require significant space and filtration, and keeping them in such conditions leads to chronic stress, illness, and premature death. If staff believe they are protecting the well‑being of animals by refusing sales, then the store must also be held to the same—or higher—standards. Refusing to sell fish to knowledgeable and experienced customers while simultaneously maintaining animals in visibly overcrowded and unhealthy environments is unacceptable. Either these animals should be responsibly rehomed to appropriate owners, or the company must take accountability by investing in proper staffing, training, and husbandry practices before denying sales under the justification of animal welfare.

Wow I honestly can't believe this but guess that's what I get for not asking the price My little girl usually gets hair cut, bath, and a pretty bow or something for 45 bucks where I usually go but today she just needed a fast bath because she was scratching really bad so stopped in Petco I didn't ask price and as I walked around store and started noticing their prices on basic dog stuff being anywhere from 2 to 2.5 times pet super market and Walmart it hit me I should've ask the price Just the bath was over $51 bucks and no bow or bandana or deodorant spray so she smells good I see now and I'm so very thankful there is no Petco with in an hour of where I live The people we very nice but why would anyone in this world shop at this store with their prices Pet super market bath, hair cut , bandana $45 Pet Co just hair cut $52 Deo spray Walmart/pet supermarket $8/$10 Petco bottle was half size and $20 bucks Expanding dog leash Walmart/per super market $8/$12 Petco $22 I literally checked prices on the things I needed in store and this place is by far the biggest rip off I've ever seen And the thing with the prices on most of it I was comparing apples to apples lol it was the same freaking brand so it's not like Petco can even say their brand is better cause like the deo spray was literally the exact same brand and on label it shows both were shipped from same early Petco for real do your customers better

They won't let me see him without paying first! The worst haircut in history—for $194. I booked the appointment for my Goldendoodle two weeks ago; I provided specific details regarding his coat type and its current condition, and they quoted me a price of $125. I said, "Yes, perfect." Today, he went in for his appointment around 9:00 AM. At 12:00 PM, I received a call saying they would be running late because they were still detangling and drying his fur. They have *never* given my dog such a terrible haircut before—they practically shaved him bald! I understand the situation, but why did they charge me for a service they didn't actually perform? What fur did they even detangle? They left him looking absolutely horrible, and all for nearly $200, that is completely excessive! They didn't even give me an invoice; I'm going back there tomorrow, and I expect a resolution! They don't even deserve one star. I only had to give it to post the review.
