Hes anemic and his cells are dying because this store wasnt taking care of him and now I have the burden to pay for these vet visits that are already 700 soon to be 1500 because he has a 40 percent chance to live because this place did not care for their cats or even see if the cats are sick or not. Dont ever buy a cat from this place they OBVIOUSLY dont care for their animals and they shouldn't have even sold reaper to me if he was sick. The vet said that he was already sick when I got him. So word of advice to people looking to buy any animal from this place dont do it unless you want to spend thousands on vet visits just to be informed that your cat may or may not live because of how sick he is.
- VBVanessa BesharaOct 27, 20251.0I went to the store with a friend to pick up cat supplies. I love looking at the different lizard species while I am there. Unfortunately, I noticed this time they had several that were being mistreated. Specifically, I noticed they had two beautiful chameleon baby’s who looked to be juvenile. Their enclosure was longer horizontally than vertical, which is just very stressful for such a delicate species. I also noticed the humidity in their tank was dangerously low. At 30% humidity they are living in almost a desert environment. during the day these Chameleons need their humidity over double what they had. The third thing I noticed about these poor lizards environment, was how bare it was. I wish they had better spots they could use to hide from the many people coming in. I can’t imagine the stress these animals are going through, and I can’t imagine them living for to much longer in these types of conditions. Corporate stores should not be allowed to have/ sell exotic animals like these. They simply require too much attention for the employees to be able to care for them how they deserve to be treated. I am so sad for the person who buys one of these expensive creatures, just for it to pass recently after, due to the poor care of the animals while they were in Petcos care.
