    The gentleman that worked Monday morning 2/16/26 was entirely too rude for me. He’s in the wrong profession if he can’t handle a customer that asked him if something was in stock. Shame on him

    i am not the type of person to go out of my way to write a bad review however i have never been treated so rudely / been disrespected by any employee as i was last night (2/16 around 7pm) i note the time because w all the bad reviews yelp (2.7 which is honestly too nice, surprised google has anything greater than 3) it’s clear customer service has been an ongoing issue that management has not addressed. i came in intending to purchase a few cleaning crew fish for my 20 gallon tank. i had gone straight to the fish scoped the scene out to see what was in stock then politely asked the cashier if someone could assist me. the worker said she'd send someone over. i said my excuse me's, no problems, take your time, no worries, and my thank yous, all w a smile. human decency. the same employee came over and asked about my tank setup. i explained I have a 20 gallon with 1 betta, 5 neon tetras, 5 guppies, and 2 snails. she said I was coming up to max which caught me off guard cus the fish i was asking for should be the perfect ones to add, but I appreciated that she said she would double check to ensure she was giving me accurate information. respect. now this is where it goes downhill, another employee approached and abruptly asked who needed help. I politely explained someone was already assisting me. she immediately responded with attitude a tone that was unnecessary from the start. i explain the first employee said she to hold on she was checking something, she looks over to a couple next to me "do yall need help?" in a way like she was trying to prove a point looks at me "well im here now" i took a step back like where is this tone coming from, but whatever, she repeated questions about my setup and continued emphasizing that I was pushing at my limit, speaking in a condescending way rather than offering guidance. the cherry on top was when i pointed out the ones i had my eye on (this whole interaction took all the excitement of getting these fish out of me at this point) she asks me how many i wanted and atp i knew whatever i said was going to be an issue, i said 3, she went on to explain their size and this lady had THE AUDACITY to say "and well idk about the other fish you have that your not telling me about" like what the actual? why? if your miserable at your job just say that. don't go ruining other peoples day just cus your not happy with yours. at that point i said actually never mind. let her know that she had started our interaction incredibly rude and i don't want anything i prefer to go somewhere else. and then she has the audacity again to be surprised like she did no wrong saying its just her and the other worker... ok? and that gives you the right to act this way? i’ve worked customer service. I understand wanting to go home at the end of a shift. but that does not justify treating customers with hostility. when i tell you i am the nicest, most understanding, non confrontational person. this was the first time i had to stop the conversation and walk away. management needs to address the tone and professionalism of staff. respect goes a long way.

    I absolutely love Petco and the gentleman that does my dog's nails is the best I've met. My dog hates her nails getting done but he is wonderful with her. Really wish I could remember his name so I can tell you who to ask for but my memory sucks

    I did not enjoy my shopping experience in this store today. I was coming to the store to get some things for my new fish tank and a betta fish. However , not even 5 minutes into the store , I was bombarded with employees who weren’t trying to ask if I needed help but more so trying to monitor me and my family while shopping. Then after I asked an employee if I could get 3 of their neon tetras, then refused to sell them to me . Her reason was because I needed to bring in a test strip as proof to show that my tank was “properly cycled” . I understand concern but if you’re going to do your job, you need to do it fully. In the store there are many betta fish with fin rot , bladder issues almost lifeless. So again if you’re going to “do your job” do it fully. Also don’t be so quick to make an assumption about someone’s knowledge.
