Although the outcome of our visit today was totally devastating, I would highly recommend Carolina Veterinary Specialist of Rock Hill for an emergency vet. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a welcoming front desk receptionist who immediately brought Dr. Brittany Donahue out to the reception area to evaluate our dog. She immediately took him back to an exam room. Dr. Donahue kept us updated as to the necessary testing and when the time came to discuss the results, she took us back to a private room and discussed the devastating results. Dr. Donahue was very compassionate and gave us time to spend with Rico prior to us saying goodbye. Although this was not what any of us expected we would be going through today, knowing that Dr. Donahue was so gentle with Rico, made it a little easier to get through it. Sincerely, The Jett Family

I was traveling and my one year old English Golden Retriever was suffering a bit of anxiety, I was so grateful Carolina Veterinary Specialists were able to prescribe something for her to allow for another two days of driving to New Hampshire in comfort. Everyone who worked with me were kind, careful and professional dog lovers!

I was at the vet with my mom and sister to check out are dog because he wasn’t acting like himself. We wait for an hour before my mom had to go the front desk to ask when were they are coming. The lady state that the vet was in a emergency surgery and couldn’t help us.
Our Boston Terrier injured his leg. We needed to determine the severity of the injury and the recovery procedure necessary. The vet and assistant were professional capable and courteous. They examined, diagnosed and treated our dog and explained the care we needed to give him for the next two weeks to ensure he recovered well and as quickly as possible.

My experience was fine except for 5 hours I had to wait because it was busy however how they treated another family was not good. Their dog was in distress with a puppy stuck and she needed a c section. This was the persons 3rd time there today because of the birthing dog. They made those people watch their dog in distress until someone could bring 75 percent of the 6000 c section fee before they’d even take the dog back to be seen. The family was so distraught while waiting for a family to bring the money. That was inhumane. I understand this is a business and offers emergency services but my brother in law is a vet and runs an emergency service as well and he said the prices are unbelievably high and treating a family like that was unacceptable and hard to watch. And then they wouldn’t start the surgery on the dog until an estimate was signed and all the fees they were describing was crazy. I felt horrible for the family and I decided it’s not a place I’d go back to just because they were treated.
