The employees are incompetent and unhelpful and the prices are on par with higher end local pet stores for dog and cat food. Prime example of their incompetence, whatever genius checked me out on 11/18 when I purchased a $100+ hermit crab tank either didn’t bother to enter my phone number to track the purchase as they are supposed to do, or entered it incorrectly. So, when I wanted to return it today, without the receipt, but expecting my purchase would be in the system, they refused. Now I’m out over $100 and have a hermit crab tank I neither want nor need. I even offered to show them the Petco purchase on my credit card statement from that date confirming I spent approximately $250 in the Lexington store on 11/18, and they didn’t want to hear it. Corporate was also totally unhelpful and after wasting 10 minutes of my time on the phone, they also refused saying there was no purchase for my rewards account in the system. Thanks a lot Petco, you’ll never have any business from me ever again, and I’ll make sure to tell others about this experience!

Really upsetting I even bought the first one. Seems to me someone needs to update the inventory on the website because that is not right. I had no way of knowing they wouldn’t have them in stock when it stated they did. No I’m sorry or anything to even try to make it right. Not good service. Very upsetting. I guess be aware when ordering online. Seems to not be accurate.

I called the day of they said they couldn’t do it when my appointment was for 315 & I can’t be there until 330 ! 15 minute difference is crazy !!! And there busy closes at 6pm btw !!! Bad business & a lot of miscommunication I’m so disappointed in them !!
