- GGGisellaDec 21, 20251.0🚨 Most importantly, while talking to the groomer at the counter, I noticed my pup was shaking and his heart racing. He never does that at groomers, in fact he loves being brushed and is used to going every 2 wks in our home state. Not sure what happened here last time (only come here when visiting family in town)— I walked away. 🚨Please pay attention to how your pup reacts to a grooming place. They can’t speak and shaking and heart racing is communicating extreme distress. We are their advocates and they depend on us to do what’s best for them🚨 Secondly, deceptive practices. My pup has always had the same amount and length of hair for each visit yet suddenly they want to add on an extra brushing fee. This is also the 2nd time they try add on another fee for sanitary and paws (this is always included in price as I confirm when booking). In fact, I took services away as I didn’t want ear hair plucking, face trim or nail trim- so I definitely wasn’t expecting a $30 extra up charge in fees! Ultimately, I’m glad there was that back and forth about the extra $30 in fees they were deceptively adding on because it gave me an opportunity to see my dogs reaction. Steer clear. Pay attention to the date on positive reviews, few current ones and most are from years ago- currently, there’s a high turn over rate as there’s always new employees when I go and they’re always hiring. Unethical manager is the same. The good ones mentioned here aren’t even there anymore and have moved, probably to an ethical place where animals aren’t terrified of going.
