I purchased a bag of dog food from a Petco while running an errand and later discovered it was infested with bugs. When I went to a different Petco (this one) near my home to get an exchange I was told they could not issue a refund and that I had to go back to the original store. Selling contaminated food and refusing to handle a return at another location is unacceptable customer service. It should not be the customer’s responsibility to sort out internal store policies.
