Unfortunately we were placed into an exam room with our 2 kittens and left there for around 45min- waiting. I actually had to come out of the room and ask if we were forgotten. For appts that we had for 3:45 and 4 pm appt. We didn’t leave the establishment until 5:20pm. I asked for one of the kittens to have their ears checked and the doctor had to be called back in because he didn’t do it. I paid for exams and one shot for each kitten so you would think the exams would include checking their ears. Overall this was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had at a vet office. Seemed very disorganized. I have always been with the same vet but recently they have had a lot of staffing changes and I was unhappy with the care. So I was looking to completely switch my 4 animals to a new facility. It will def not be this one.

Well, I really don't like posting negative reviews but feel I have to here so others are aware. I took my puppy in for an exam for what I suspected was an ear infection. He's been prone to them. The staff at the Vetco was great -- Dr. and support staff were attentive and thorough. They identified there was an infection and the Dr. suggested an antibiotic. They did not have it in house so I ordered from Petco Pharmacy. I placed the order, it required approval from the vet which was done, but it will arrive 9 days following my visit. So, my pup will have to endure the discomfort of the infection for over another week+ before even beginning treatment. Just unacceptable. This is a Petco issue that they need to resolve if they want to be serious about being in the Veterinary Care business. ***** EDIT/UPDATE ***** I must give credit where credit is due. Kudos to Petco/Vetco for caring enough to read their customers' reviews and for proactively reaching out to me. In addition, they addressed the slow shipping by sending an expedited tube of antibiotics that arrived yesterday so I could begin my pups treatment. I revised my star rating to 4 from 1 ... 4 only b/c of a bit of a disruptive experience.

Kind staff and had a good in-person experience but their communication is not the best. I have had an urgent prescription waiting to be approved for a week now and have not be successful in any of my attempts to contact them. I have called, left several voice messages, texted, and have still yet to be contacted back. Maybe this post will generate a call back finally. I do not have the time to drive the 30+ mins there just to speak with them for an issue that can be resolved over the phone. Highly considering finding new care for my dog once I finally get the prescription (if I ever do). UPDATE: I was able to get in contact with someone from the connected Petco storefront and was told the Vetco has special hours that completely differ from what is posted online. Ridiculous.

I did not expect.much. I was super surprised by how much attention and care I and my cats received from the Vet Tech and the Veterinarian. I am grateful and you now have new and dedicated patients.

The male vet barely touched our cat to examine him for a urethral obstruction and told us his bladder was as hard as a rock and our cat was in severe pain. We took him to the emergency room and they said he wasn’t showing any signs of pain, his vitals were normal, and his bladder WAS EMPTY! We were given completely wrong information from the doctors at vetco and will not be returning for care. Thankfully we got a second opinion.
