I had an emergency with my 10 month old kitten.. she hit her head..had to find emergency vet and used the same emergency vet my granddaughter used for her cat. Barton Heights was fabulous with my baby girl. The Dr. (Dr. Jackson) knew what she was doing. Told me what to do when we got home , They didn't do all the testing I figured they would do. Cindy Lou is definitely on the mend . The pic was taken this morning. I recommend this emergency vet hospital to everyone....5 star...10 if I could ..Thank you Barton Heights Veterinary Hospital ...

AVOID THIS VET! We took our dog here because it was the closest open ER...BIG MISTAKE. Our overall visit and treatment from Dr.Duffield was disturbing in more ways than one, so much so, I felt it necessary to report him. Dr.Duffield shouldn't be allowed to care for animals, let alone be around them. Our SICK dog barked for less than 10 seconds when he entered the room, instead of proceeding to tell us the test results he felt the need to rudely say "I'm not going to talk over a barking dog, I tend to get migraines rather quickly when dogs bark ". FIND ANOTHER PROFESSION! How dare you sign an oath to care for animals. His comments, actions and demeanor disturbed us to the point that we were afraid to even give our dog the meds he prescribed therefore we took him to our vet the next day. Bill, the supervisor, stated that Dr.Duffield has only been at this vet for a few months. He gave the impression that he was taking everything that happened very serious, however he didn't even call me back despite making the comment "I'm glad you called instead of leaving a Google review". Over a month later I received a call from Dr.Ott who did nothing but make ridiculous excuses and literally BLAME MY DOGS for Dr. Duffields behavior, inappropriate comments and improper treatment of my dogs. This place and the rooms are FILTHY, which is a red flag in itself. The room we were put in was far too hot, the nurse attempted to turn the heat down and fan on but it was broken. The "nurse" with red hair (should also be fired) took my other dog as soon as we got in the room and shut the door on me while trying to tell her that he just had surgery, only to later find out she put him in a kennel for over an hour! A kennel that wasn't big enough for him nor ideal for dogs that recently had surgery, which explains why he was limping when he was brought back to the room after having asked for him three times! The Dr's and nurses actions, the response from Dr.Ott and the overall filth of the building makes this place by far the WORST we've ever experienced! More importantly, out of all the different vets and ER vets we've been to over 20+ years this is the FIRST AND ONLY bad experience we've ever had.

I took my cat in because he was constantly sneezing. Turns out he had an upper respiratory infection and a fever. The vet tech and veterinarian were both very nice. The vet took some time with me after the exam to explain his medication and things to watch out for, and gave me helpful information for pet insurance.

They are amazing! Saved my cat after he ate his flea collar. I brought him at 2am and they immediately took him in and started treatment. They were willing to try an experimental treatment which ended up working and saved him. He is doing perfectly now and has no visible effects from the poisoning. I'm glad they were open and available to treat him and were able to get him back to us safe and healthy!

Posting a 0 if could! Please look at others reviews and circumstances prior to Going there. The doctor is always on vacation and after something preventable took a pets life because the “dr was on vacation” and apparently still is after 17 days of calling an no call back or response on to what happened to a 4year old cat that was healthy needing a routine easy procedure as were told resulted in him being euthanized and charged for services not done to help him. This place is disgusting in humanity and its professionalism . If you look back between the last 5 years there are MANY OF THE SAME REVIEWS! Do your research this is not where your pet should go its not your only option!
