- LMliss MolinaNov 20, 20251.0International travel certificate : I visited this place based on a friend’s recommendation because I needed an international health certificate for my dog to travel to South America. For anyone who doesn’t know, the certificate for South America usually costs around $101, while the certificate required for Asia, Europe, and Japan is around $340. When I received my bill, it was almost $700. After looking at the breakdown, I noticed that both certificates were listed even though I only needed the one for South America. When I asked about it, a manager stepped in and insisted that Petco’s policy requires selling both certificates together. I explained that I was not traveling to Europe and didn’t need the second certificate, but she kept repeating the same explanation and making something simple feel confusing. I asked the staff to show me Petco’s written policy where this requirement is stated, and she told me it is not published anywhere, but “that’s how they do it.” At that point, I had to walk away. I later contacted Mount Nittany Vet, and they were great. They charged the correct amount and knew exactly what was needed for my dog to travel. If anyone needs this service, I strongly recommend contacting them instead.

Everytime somthing comes up we have to go to CPvets and that cost a arm and a leg... that is my only complaint.
