  Two things about my local Petco that bother me: 1) when there is only one cashier and the line is over 5 customers long. Please call another cashier to help, and 2) products are always out of stock. Recently, on separate trips, I wanted to buy a toothbrush for my dog and a clicker for training. Both were out of stock, but the deluxe option that cost way too much, was available. That seems to happen way too much. My closest PetSmart always seems to have what I need in stock. Please do better Petco.

  I took my puppy in for his 13-week rabies shot, but I was told that he needed to be 15 weeks old. They gave me a new appointment; I brought him back at 15 weeks, and once again they told me he still needed to wait a few more weeks. They rescheduled me for April 12th. I also booked an appointment for a bath and haircut, but they refused to do it because of the vaccinations—claiming that he should have received them at 3 months old. But if they themselves wouldn't administer the shots right there, they clearly can't get their story straight. They have completely wasted my time.

  I went in for a specific type of food to mask pills I was needed to give my Bulldog. They were very helpful, friendly and I got just what I needed. The store was stocked well, easy to find names of brands but if I had any questions someone was always there to help.

  My experience with Petco has been very poor. Every time I go to their vaccination clinics (especially on Sundays), I see a different veterinarian, and each one gives completely different information—even contradicting what I was told in previous visits. There is no consistency or clear protocol. The doctors don’t seem to follow any standard, they don’t properly update the records, and each one handles the case differently. Today, I was even given the wrong prescription, and after requesting a correction, I still haven’t received anything. The worst part is the lack of coordination: the veterinarian tells me to contact customer service to update the file, but customer service says they can’t do it, and the doctor says they can’t either. No one takes responsibility. After multiple unnecessary visits and a lot of frustration, I’ve decided to switch veterinarians. I do not recommend this service.
