Our dog has had a wellness plan since he was a puppy. We lived in Minneapolis at the time and had great experiences with multiple Banfields--including post-surgery followup from a bad dog bite. This location has gone down hill since 2022. I took the dog on Saturday for an in-room appointment for some lameness in his back right leg. While I understand the nature of triaging emergent cases, they were definitely understaffed for the number of patients scheduled. After the initial intake by the vet tech, she spoke to the doctor. The doctor suggested x-rays, which would be about $500 after the plan discount. My dog most likely strained/pulled a muscle chasing squirrels in the backyard a week ago. We brought him in because he seemed to be plateauing in his recovery and limping more. After declining the x-ray, the doctor comes in and has prescribed an NSAID for the pain, but was much more concerned about his pododermatitis. Two topical creams and $90 later, she wants a 5-day followup for the lameness--and made it crystal clear that an x-ray would be the next step if he's still not recovered--and a 30 day follow up on the pododermatitis. The doctor also did not provide options or discuss his Despite being a loyal Banfield customer for over five years, I am cancelling my wellness plan shortly. I had my uncle, a former vet tech and still working in the field, examine Bentley's paws. I did not tell him what the diagnosis was. He was confused after examining him because the only thing he noted was neatly trimmed nails. His first thought after reading through the SOAP notes was that they mixed him up with another dog. He also was confused by offering an x-ray in the initial visit. Lastly, whomever is managing the hospital's social media--no need to tell me to reach out to corporate. I received a visit satisfaction survey and have requested a call from management.

Dr. Philip, Jenn, and Jordan were wonderful. I recently got a new puppy and they were so welcoming and helpful when I brought her in. Thank you for taking such good care of my pup!

I, along with my daughter we bring out kittens here. Our experiences have been awful. We both had a female doctor, I can’t recall her name, should not be a veterinarian. Doesn’t introduce herself as the doctor, super shaky hands, says she doesn’t believe in vaccines and when giving my daughters kitten a shot, the needle never went in, the vaccine went all over the kittens fur. I also don’t like when they take your pet elsewhere to give them shots. We both will need to get our kittens spayed/neutered and are not comfortable having the surgeries done at this Banfield location.

Noon appt for a single vaccination shot. We check in then told “it’ll be a while” nothing else. 30 mins with my high anxiety dog with zero update or anybody checking in. Had to walk out since I had an another appt. On the way out, I tell the front desk we’re leaving. Just says ok. No apologies or attempts to reschedule. Should’ve just called me and rescheduled to begin with if you can make an appt instead of wasting people’s time. This location used to be pretty good. It’s absolutely horrid nowadays. Nobody gives a damn anymore.
