- VBVinicius BuiatteNov 24, 20251.0This is the second time that we have tried to get a golden retriever cleaned and groomed at this place. This time, I had an appointment at 12:30pm. I was there on time, and then was told that my dog would have to be in a crate for a couple of hours, because they were running behind schedule. I asked if I could get a later appointment so I can drive the dog back, and that way he wouldn't have to stay there. The lady was nice and agreed to do that, so she reschedule me for 3 pm. Then, at 2:40pm they called me asking if I could bring the dog after 4 pm. I asked to cancel. I drove 1 hour to Williamsport because Petco was the only place available. I postponed work duties and did everything I could to be there on time. I do not believe that this was the staff's fault, but Petco should have protocols in place to avoid this type of situation at all costs. If I have an appointment, I do not expect my dog to be waiting 2 hours or more in a crate for his grooming. Because this is the second time we have had trouble with Petco Williamsport, I will not come back, and I advise people to make sure that their dogs will not be waiting in a crate for more than a couple of minutes. If you have an appointment, they should be ready for them. This is not a cheap service, and they do not deserve that.
