Been with Banfield for 12 plus years. Mechanicsburg, PA. Office is the worst mis managed office. I would avoid this office, service is terrible and total lack of responsibility. Try another office, each office is totally different reference professionalism and customer service. Mechanicsburg lacks both of these characteristics.

Bring your pet here at your own risk. This location has the most incompetent and unprofessional staff of any location I’ve ever experienced. Today this location injected my dog with a vaccine WE EXPLICITLY DID NOT AUTHORIZE (we were dealing with the practice manager who we had an entire conversation about why we were NOT doing the vaccine today) because it was a) not due yet and b) we were here for a traumatic injury appointment. Come time to pick up my dog, I find out they have given him the shot, and when questioned about it (practice manager still here) she admits she remembers not being authorized and is “going to get an answer.” The only answer I ever received was “legal requirements”. BS. The law in PA requires INFORMED CONSENT and you did not have the legal or licensing authority to make that decision for me. Second, again, IT WAS NOT EXPIRED! Why was this not an issue 12 DAYS earlier, or 3 weeks before THAT when I had my previous two appointments? Not once did this vaccine come up BECAUSE IT WASN’T DUE. This location (and Banfield in general) have a frequent habit of not reading the notes and just doing whatever it is they want. That is not just morally wrong, but professionally negligent and a blatant violation of the law. The staff is rude, unprofessional, and utterly incompetent. I am serious when I say use this location at your own risk. This time it was a vaccine he wasn’t due for. Next time it could be one of the numerous times Banfield has killed someone’s pet, doubled down, and refused to provide clear and reasonable answers to what happened and why. This company, and this location especially, is such a disgrace. Please find a local vet. We have used Banfield for years because they are convenient when you move frequently. Now that we have settled down, it’s time to find a local family owned vet that actually cares about the pets they treat and the customers they service.

We have been bringing our boys to the Banfield in Mechanicsburg for years and have always had a great experience. They take very good care of our boys Harley and Sammy. Thank to everyone on the staff.

We’ve been a part of Banfield for 7 years now, starting in Tacoma, WA (great experience) and transferred to Hagerstown (phenomenal) and now Mechanicsburg. I am so disappointed every time I try to interact with this office. It’s 5PM and they don’t close until 6, yet they’re already sending calls to voicemail. I get put on hold immediately every time I call and never ask if it’s a pet emergency or not. I also feel they overprescribed Gabapentin for my dog (300mg + another 100mg AND Trazodone). This office gets a big “MEH” from me 😕

Nothing against the staff. They have been great. But the wellness plans, don't do it. We have been paying for our wellness plan for a very long time. Our beautiful dog Stella passed away this past week and when I tried to cancel her plan they told me I owe them 1100.00. For what? I have paid and paid this plan for 12 years. Why would I owe them anything. Stay away from the wellness plan and if your pet gets sick or has an emergency the staff will tell you, they are a wellness center not an emergency service.
