  They always do a great job with my quirky dog Susan. She’s skittish and has a strange coat being part Chinese crested but she looks great every time.

  I want to share my recent experience because it was extremely upsetting and could help other pet parents make informed decisions. My 7-month-old puppy, Gus, has only been groomed twice in his life—both times at your facility. The first time with Dana was wonderful, and I truly want to give her credit for the care and attention she showed Gus. Unfortunately, our second visit was very different. From the moment I dropped Gus off with Brenna, I felt uneasy. I explained that Gus was still very new to grooming and asked to be contacted if there were any issues. Instead of letting me reassure him or say goodbye, Brenna quickly pulled him to the back while he was visibly distressed and trying to get back to me. The grooming was surprisingly fast, and when I picked him up, it was a quick handoff. Immediately in the car, Gus seemed extremely anxious and began making a choking/coughing sound repeatedly. At first, I thought it was stress, but when I got home, I realized his collar had been tightened so much it was choking him. I loosened it, hoping that would help, but over the next two days, the coughing continued and worsened. By Wednesday night, Gus was in distress—constant coughing and gagging. I had to rush him to an urgent care vet an hour away. After a very difficult trip (he gets carsick and vomited the entire way), the vet determined that Gus likely suffered trauma to his trachea, consistent with being strangled or struggling against restraint. We left with cough suppressants, strict instructions to never use a neck collar again, and a $925 bill for X-rays and medication. This was terrifying for me and heartbreaking for Gus. He’s just a puppy—he can’t tell me what happened, and I trusted your team to care for him. I specifically asked to be called if there were any issues, and that didn’t happen. People need to know that this kind of situation can occur. I truly wish I didn’t have to write this, but I feel it’s important to share. I am really actually terribly sad that it's come to this. My only prayer is that Gus makes a 100% Full recovery and he lives a long healthy life. Unfortunately we will never return to Petco for Grooming services due to this event.

  Horrible horrible customer service. They used to have good groomers but not anymore. Do not DO NOT bring your pets here. The groomers there currently don’t know what they’re doing. I called corporate and filled an official complaint.

  Dana did an amazing job. She asked questions about how we wanted Maddox groomed and did an amazing job. Very friendly and attentive. Great service.
