- PPphillyscottgJan 15, 20265.0I used Banfield Pet Hospital in King of Prussia for my dogs first year. Excellent value and everybody is always nice there. I moved away and just recently returned, 3 years later. Today was my first appointment since I returned. The front desk staff could not have been nicer. Vet techs Ray and Seven were amazing. So kind and so sweet with my dog! And Ray was absolutely outstanding! I would trust her with anything! I went with a new plan that would include dental cleanings Truthfully I feel a little bit deceived about what is included. They say all but one vaccine is included. My dog was slightly out of date on one vaccine so a booster will be required. That will cost extra. The pitch when I inquired about the plan could just have easily stated all but one vaccines would be included IF YOUR DOG IS UP TO DATE. The dental cleaning has the potential to get much pricier as well. I will reserve judgement about that for after his cleaning. I am frustrated at the extra cost that I feel should have been revealed when I inquired about the plan. I’m giving five stars purely because of veterinary techs Seven and Ray and Gianni(?) at the front desk Kindness and love for your pet goes a long way! The Dr I saw was very thorough in his explanations. He gave me the impression they are very thorough about everything. Bedside manner could be better. It’s not what you want to hear when the Dr takes a lot of time listening to your dogs heart only to ask if he has a history of heart murmur or irregularities and when you answer No, his response is “it is PROBABLY just sound reverberation from his deep chest.” I appreciate his 30 years of experience but I’m pretty sure that could have been handled better.

Ashley is absolutely the best and knows how to handle my dog which if you have an Australian Shepherd, you know they can be a little bit crazy. I recommend everyone in the grooming department at PetSmart in Collegeville.

From her first few visits of being snappy and trying to run the other way. They handled her professionally and with incredible care. And a huge plus for being the only ones who have been able clip her nails!

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
