  How rude is it to ask what kind of tank do you have before they will sell you a fish. What does it matter, and then to get the store manager to interrogate you with more questions before you can buy fish. Abrogated people in the harrisburh store, needless to say I walked out of the store. Guess where I will never shop again and tell all my friends how rude they are.

  I am extremely disappointed with this Petco location. The bettas are being kept in filthy water and many appear to be suffering from serious health issues such as swim bladder problems, fin rot, and severe malnourishment. Most of them are pale, thin, and clearly in poor condition. I selected a tangerine koi betta and asked an associate if they would consider discounting him due to his deplorable condition. I was told they would take him to the back to treat him instead. Unfortunately, three weeks ago when I visited this same location, I was told, “We won’t sell sick fish, period.” This makes me wonder what actually happens to these fish, because their current condition suggests they are not being treated. It’s incredibly sad to see these animals suffering like this. Bettas deserve proper care, clean water, and basic monitoring of their health. Instead, many of them appear neglected. I ended up purchasing the $25 betta even though he is in very poor health. That’s on me, but I felt that at least with me he has a chance. In my home, I can change the world for that one fish if he makes it.

  The cute were okay. I did not like all the extra sales pressure to get more than what I signed up for on my appt.
