My question is why on earth would you let it sit on the shelf and suffer that long before a customer had to say something? And if that customer cared enough to take it home and treat it, then that's what you should allow them to do because clearly you didn't care to do so the whole time it was suffering.

- GDGamingPride37 DreamerDec 18, 20251.0this poor betta was neglected, I told the worker that the one betta was not looking and she goes over there and grabs two fish off the shelf, as I finished my shopping I walked past the betta wall and saw this guy still sitting on the shelf. this is disgusting, quit giving money to these breeding mills and do it ethically, these fish would be a lot more happy. the company greed is sick. i’ve shopped at petco for a few years , this is where my fish journey started I can no longer support these businesses and that’s why it’s trending to boycott these places. I honestly feel like they let these fish get sick because they get too many.

- DDDanika DiverioDec 8, 20255.0Cannot speak highly enough of the 2 staff members working when I stopped in the other day to get what I needed to rescue a stray. Kimber was 1 of only 2 staff currently working- the other being on register at the time. She stopped stocking the second I asked for assistance, and went above and beyond to help me find the best products for my needs and budget, ran across the store multiple times for a cart and several items, and gave knowledgeable, sound advice in regards to caring for the cat in the first days. I cannot thank her enough for taking the time to help, as I was overwhelmed and unsure of where to begin (having not had a pet in over 5 years). I'd nominate Kimber for employee of the month for sure 😅 Also have to note that the young woman working register was so incredibly kind and personable. Overall, this store gets my 5 stars solely based on these 2 employee interactions. (They did also have everything I needed so that's a bonus lol) *photo of the sweet kitty baby they essentially helped me save*
