  I went in to Petco twice and both times I was checked out by Paige who apparently doesn't know how to greet the customers. The first visit, I said "hello" amd she started ringkng my items up without a word. So I asked her if they had done away with saying "hello" to guests. She said no, but she was just "being quiet." I thought pethaps she was having a bad day so i gave her the benefit of the doubt. The second visit i went with my husband, and coincidentally Paige was at the register again. I greeted her warmly and again she ignored my greeting and proceeded to ring out my items without a word. Just like she was unfazed and ignored me when I thanked her for handing me the receipt and my purchases. In my opinion, if you aren't personable then you shouldn't be a cashier. Once, I can give her the benefit of the doubt, but not when it happens more than once on seperate days.

  My friend and I were shopping here for our dogs. I needed some gravy to put on my picky dogs food so she will eat it and wanted some toys, and my friend needed dog food for her pup. We had a bag of food and some gravy packs in the cart, and we were looking at some dental treats. An associate came up to my friend and looked at what was in the cart and told us "there is very little nutrients in either one of those items, you should read the ingredients." Then just walked away. While we did not ask for her opinion, she also did not offer to give us a healthier alternative in our price range. I feel that if you are going to walk up to someone and say that without them asking, then you should atleast educate or give other options, not just walk away. This interaction upset both of us, and had my friend in tears. You never know what someone may be going through financially, and that maybe this is just to hold them over. Both her dog and all 4 of mine, are very happy pups and are nothing but spoiled. They are our babies. Neither one of us appreciated being judged because of what was in our cart. We have both been customers for years and this single interaction has us never wanting to go back. Do better petco.
