My reviews are strictly about the wellness plan. The company is awful and makes it virtually impossible to cancel your plans. They will auto renew the plan without letting you know and refuse to cancel or refund money even though the pet did not use the services. They will tell you there is nothing they can do over the phone and send you into the store, where they also can do nothing. Even their phone app has a button for “manage plans and payment” but the button is the only button on the app that doesn’t work. Don’t waste your time or money. It’s nothing but a scam.

I highly encourage you not to take your pet here. My dog had a drop off appointment for 7:15am and we were told she would be ready by early afternoon. I called three times to follow up and was given 0 information. I eventually drove over because it was an hour until close (5pm) because I still didn’t receive a call. When I got there, they didn’t explain anything to me and it took an additional 15 minutes for them to bring her out. I’m not sure what I paid for because they didn’t do anything. This was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had at a vet. Please don’t bring your pet here.

I ordered the medicine on chewy for $10 when they tried to mark it up by 1500% making it $150. When I ordered it on chewy and was waiting for their approval they declined it. I called to have the situation fixed and no one at the front desk knew what to do. I reordered the prescription and called the next day for approval and the vet said that the records have no prescription on them and will decline the approval. Meanwhile I have the records for proof and the written prescription in my hand. The dr expressed she was trying to clean up the other doctor’s mess. However in the beginning of the call when I kindly asked for approval she gave me attitude and was clearly unwilling to look into my issue and would not help me. My cat needs this steroid, I should have had it by now. He’s sick and struggling with what seems to be cancer. I had to BEG them to prescribe him something when I had my cat checked out by them. They did not want to give him any medicine and just let him struggle to breathe. I am so upset with them and scared to death that my cat will die because of their unwillingness to help and provide for my cat. I went to the hospital to try another effort for my cat, who were a huge help of course but I had to pay for another xray because 1 Banfield would not send the records over, the records I found myself online were said to not state a full analysis on my cat and they left a lot out of the records. I will never be going back there again it’s really not only a waste of time or energy but it completely drained my energy and upset me.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
