If you have a cat that behaves like… well, a cat, then Dr. Hanley might not be the right fit. We brought our three cats in for vaccines and you’d swear she had never handled cats before. She gave vaccines to two of them, but refused to vaccinate the third simply because she hissed. She’s a cat. That’s normal behavior.
I understand wanting to avoid a chaotic situation, but every other vet we’ve visited has known how to safely and quickly handle a nervous cat. That might mean scruffing them like a mama cat does to get the vaccines done.
The store manager was very kind and asked us to come back on Monday, but afterward we couldn’t get our cat to go back in her carrier. Overall, the experience was very disappointing.

Purchased a package deal. Was told after, that one vaccine needed a follow-up booster and would have to return in four weeks. That was not a problem. The problem was that I had to pay for follow-up vaccine at ala carte price. The follow-up should have been included with the original package since there was no prior notice of separate charge

Very disappointed for the second time. Sarah B the vet assistant who gave my dog his shots was terrible to deal with. Other people had two people with their pet I had brought my boyfriend with me as he’s our dog and gets jumpy and loud when he’s not aloud to play with other dogs. Tells me “next time one of you stay in the car because he’s a little crazy.” Then puts in his summary he’s “reactive and resists restraint”. My boyfriend held him no issues. The first time I dealt with her she acted terrified of him asked if he was friendly as he was smelling her tail wagging and happy. She put in his chart “special handling” because he turned his head and looked at her when she was putting multiple shots in his butt. She made my experience absolutely terrible. The only one who was incredibly kind and helped us was Joanne G. We were told by someone to go in an aisle and no one helped us for over 45 minutes. She came around the corner saw us and checked us in apologized etc. She had no issues coming up to my dog as he was smelling her, she pet him, and talked to him. I thanked her after I checked out for helping us and understanding he’s a bigger boy who just loves everyone and wants to play. (German Shepard) I will never be going back just because of how Sarah was. And if you hate your job that much to be ignorant and make comments all the time and act scared of animals you’re in the wrong field. But again thank you so much to Joanne, I probably would have lost my mind and wouldn’t have kept my mouth shut if it wasn’t for her, she’s honestly amazing.
