- HHharleySep 28, 20251.0I’d like to share how this location sold me the sweetest most kind little mouse who i named Shauna- but she had wet tail and passed early this morning. Wet tail is an obvious sign of stress and proof that this location and their staff DOES NOT care properly for the animals and they are abused. Shauna was so scared and stressed out and it was absolutely heartbreaking to watch and disgusting. I’m glad she passed away in a safe and warm environment with a fully tummy and a happy heart but she was very sick and there was nothing i could’ve done to help her. The living conditions of these poor animals in-store is absolutely sickening and their cages are not cleaned. There were so many mice piled up on eachother with feces everywhere. No wonder she was unhappy. Not to mention the worker removed her from the cage to give to us by the tail? I understand these people are just trying to get their jobs done but it breaks my heart to see sentient little creatures be treated like toys with their emotions tossed aside. Yes, maybe i sound insane for saying mice have feelings and many people do not believe the same, but as a human with strong feelings of empathy i cannot imagine how terrifying it would be to live like that. Boycott pet stores. I will never be supporting and Pet co locations ever again, and I hope reading this review opens other’s eyes as well.
