I don't understand why anyone even shops at these places anymore considering the awful care for their fish and especially the betta fish in tiny containers.

Last time i was here i saw a woman drop a fish straight out of the tank on the floor and almost step on it. Had zero idea what she was doing with the net. She was also asleep at the desk. Not to mention bettas (solitary and aggressive fish) thrown in with and attacking the guppies. Came in here again unfortunately to look at plants for my cycling tank, and the betta cups were stacked on too of each other. Bettas are labyrinth fish and need fresh air to breathe. Actively suffocating their fish. Sad conditions.

I got a good deal on my fish, but the lights were all off by the tanks so you can’t see anything that’s in the tanks, and we even saw a few “floaters”! And WHY are the Bettas so expensive? There was a few on the cheaper end ($3-$5) but most of the ones there were babies and were $25+!! And they looked like they were sickly/dying/struggling to breathe/etc. You would think they would take better care of their fish and/or put them on SALE, so they can at least go to a good home! This is my second bad experience at one of your stores. I may not be back! :(
