  Had a wonderful experience with Vetco today! I took in 2 of my dogs one being a senior my normal vet has never recommended a senior blood pannel and this vet did, I super appreciated the information and why blood work yearly is important for all senior pets. They didn’t pressure me into anything and allowed me to make an informed decision for my pet. After talking with the vet I decided to wait for vaccines on my old man to make sure he was internally doing good. As for my pup she got her vaccines and was super happy during the hole procedure. They were a bit busy which I expected with how reasonable their prices are the staff let me know corporate only alots 5 mins for each apt which as any pet parent would know if you have questions or concerns 5 mins an apt is not reasonable. So thank you Vetco for taking extra time to answer all my questions and concerns and for providing such quality care to my pets.

  Made an appointment for a simple rabies vaccine and was turned away due to my dog's age and being unwilling to do a "senior blood panel." They advised me to either do the blood panel or pursue a rabies exemption (so that my dog can be groomed & attend daycare). I spoke with my regular vet (VCA Laurelhurst) and they were surprised as well - full blood panels are NOT typical for routine vaccinations. This was also mentioned nowhere during the Petco booking and it is unclear if this is even Petco policy or simply this particular vet's discretion. I usually go the Good Neighbor clinic at Bi-Mart for boosters (i.e. Bordetella) and have never been hasseled by them over this. They wasted an hour of my time and were significantly backed up with clients (there was a very long line for the vet despite arriving 15min prior my appointment). All in all, it seems like this experience was a money-grab on Petco's part and they overbook their clinic anyway.

  I’ve had my dog groomed here every 5 or 6 weeks for more than 2 years and have had 2 bad experiences, both with the same groomer. I let it go the first time, but the 2nd time, I wrote a bad review. All of the other times I was satisfied with the service. Since I wrote the bad review, I have been refused service at that location. I didn’t yell, I didn’t make a scene, I just wrote an honest review online. I even tipped generously for every session. This is bad business. I will no longer spend any money there.

  I preference this PetCo above others because of the staff. I am terrible at names, but all of the floor and checkout staff I have interacted with are consistently really friendly and knowledgeable. They all clearly really love animals and are excited to help you find anything you need, but also aren't in your face while you are shopping. I especially enjoy how much the staff seem to genuinely like and respect each other - it's a delight to come into a store and see the staff having a good time together. Paired with great service, it makes me feel really comfortable and excited about spending my money there!
