Cooper has had great stays at Meowhaus twice. The staff are so friendly and clearly enjoy providing a wonderful, clean, and cozy environment for their cat guests. They communicate in a timely manner. This is our go-to home away from home for big, affectionate, playful, Cooper.

Meowhaus took such great care of my cat!! I was really nervous to leave him, but they were wonderful to him. They let me know that one of their employees sat with him but didn’t make him be social, which is perfect. The room had a view of some birds as well, which I think is such a nice touch to keep the kitties entertained. If I need to board him again, I’ll definitely take him back to Meowhaus :)

We have researched and tried a number of places in Portland over the years and can confidently say there is *no better* place to board your cats than here. Other places every time we came back the cats were stressed, smelly and freaked out. Every time we pick them up from Meowhaus they don't even want to leave. The staff really cares about your cat and are so dedicated to their work. The facilities are top-notch and you have such a big choice of "lodging" options. When we first started boarding our cats we just automatically went with the cheapest option but we now plan and budget for this boarding experikence b because it's so good 9and at the end of the day it is not that much more expensive than other options and you get so much more for your investment.

A really nice place to board your cat! Each cat has a spacious place to eat, sleep and climb. The staff knows and loves cats and takes good care of them when you are off elsewhere. Bonus: Don't recall if it was daily, but you also get a photo and report on how your cat is doing. This is also a cat only place, so no barking dogs to upset your kitty. Highly recommended!

We've boarded our 3 cats at Meowhaus several times and it's become our favorite option. We always choose to pay the little bit extra to get a few email updates and photos during their boarding and they really do provide the best updates and are very thorough on how everyone is doing which is really reassuring. Our cats seem to be happy and comfortable and do well there sharing one of the larger rooms they have available with windows, but they also get to spend some time outside of their room every day and seem to get a lot of interaction from the staff as well. On this last trip one of our cats was having litter box issues early on and we were able to email back and forth about it to work out a solution quickly which I really appreciated. Scheduling is really easy and they have reasonable prices and cancellation policies. We haven't had any concerns boarding here and will continue to use them when we need to board our cats!

Day boarding is available for $40 per cat. Drop off your cat during our morning hours and pick up during afternoon hours. To book, visit our reservation page and select the same date for arrival and departure. Please disregard any additional fee notes; the cost is a flat $40.
My cat is indoors-only and never had fleas. Do I still need flea protection?
Yes, flea protection is required for all cats. While your cat may not have fleas, we occasionally receive cats with active infestations. We treat these cases immediately, but there's still a risk of flea transfer. We offer Advantage for $20 per dose if needed, which provides 30 days of protection.
Do kitties get individual attention?
Absolutely. Our staff regularly visits each suite to provide affection, including hugs, kisses, petting, and brushing. We employ dedicated kitty cuddlers for two-hour shifts of exclusive attention. Cats can also explore the shop individually, with some preferring to wander while others enjoy helping with office tasks. We prioritize safety, ensuring all cats are secure before opening the front door.
