They won't let you cancel your subscription if your pet dies! You will keep getting a monthly charge to remind you of of your painful loss. Do they need to? No. Do they care? No. Straight up evil. After 9 great years I had to put my cat down earlier this month; she was the sweetest cat I'd ever owned. Obviously I was heartbroken. The staff at Banfield were wonderful throughout the death process. This 1 star review is for the corporate ownership who clearly only care about the bottom line and not a grieving pet owner. I had been on the Wellness + plan for years as my cat needed occasional dental work, which just renewed in November. When I contacted Banfield to cancel the policy after my cat died, they told me I needed to pay the remaining 9 months of the Wellness Plan, despite the fact that my cat is no longer alive to be seen and treated. I was flabbergasted - their reasoning was because I had used the plan benefits (procedure discounts, office visits) for 3 months, so I needed to pay the full plan amount. I obviously wouldn't have signed up for the full year if I knew my cat was going to die so soon. To top it off, my cat was too sick to receive any dental care so I never used the "Plus" part of my plan. I asked if they would at least lower the regular Wellness plan but apparently their "system doesn't allow that". I feel taken advantage of in a time of grief. When your pet dies, it feels evil to keep charging grieving owners for services they obviously won't be using. Now I'll get a painful reminder of my loss every month when I see the monthly Wellness charge hit my credit card. I understand this is a business and cancelling a plan would normally require paying the full year, but the death of a pet feels like this should be an obvious exception. I'm leaving my multi-year experience with Banfield with a very sour taste and I do not recommend anyone give their money to this company; it's clear they will do anything they can to suck more money from you before you go.

Friendly staff, clean premises and Dr. Sankara is the best. We trust her and our dogs adore her. She recently performed a successful surgery on our dog and was very supportive & patient with our concerns throughout the recovery. She has a knack of keeping our dogs calm and us as well. Thank you so much Dr. Sankara, we appreciate you!

GET OUR (babies) pets out of these commercial places they are nothing but a scam.!!!! Too much guessing going on more concerned about Selling their package to become a wellness member. They don’t listen to their clients nor do they care about the dogs. My dog was crying from the back and they did procedures I asked them not to do. DO NOT REPLY Nobody wants to hear a response for the Internet to see!!!!when I called them to let them know how I was treated. They told me it “sounds like I was on the vet for them and to have a nice day.” 🤯

IM SO TIRED OF BANFIELD! Its been a month and the results of my cats test haven't been read. He is at the end of the medication we were given and they cant tell us if we've been treating the right thing. $530 for the visit this time. $400+ for the visit last time. AND my cat contracted fleas at their location, I brought him in for a skin irritation NOT because he had fleas. TIRED of this untrustworthy care for my pet and blatant negligence for cleanliness in their locations. Go anywhere else. I would not recommend banfield to anybody. 4 times my pets have been here and only once did the vet actually give a hoot... not impressed, not surprised either. Get better banfield.
