- GCGen CherryFeb 1, 20261.0Took my car to Banfield as he needed an exam for his teeth and eats and needed a depo injection. This was my first time going to Banfield. I had a coupon for a free exam. I guess free exam means the vet isn't going to go over your pets body and check things. It just means she'll give the injection. I had to ask her to look at his teeth. She never checked his ears, didn't look at his eyes, never palpated his stomach or felt his body for any irregularities. The vet tech said my cat had matts in his coat, but that was B.S. as I had just raked and brushed his coat before I left the house. The depo injection was 2.5 X's the price of Vetco. I specifically asked the vet to please email me her chart notes as I needed them for insurance. She never did. I didn't get a receipt when I checked out. I had to return there later in the week to get all my paperwork and receipt. I will never go back. Vetco has my business from now on.

- JUJustin UmbersonNov 4, 20251.0took our dogs here for six years. over that time, Banfield reduced its days, hours and staff, and subsequently was unable to see our pets at all. when our dog injured his eye, we called every day for a month before someone finally answered. when the dog did go in, we were given the wrong medicine and were only referred to a specialist when we pushed. during the last year we were members, our dogs did not receive the teeth cleaning, vaccinations, flea and tick medicine, and checkups that we paid for because their staff doesn't answer the phone and get our dogs scheduled. go anywhere else.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
