  Petco Grooming Hillsboro is awesome! We did not have good experiences at Petsmart Tanasbourne, and a couple Petco locations in Beaverton. One of our dogs is an aussiedoodle, so needs to be fully groomed. However, she is a very nervous pup. Nobody was able to deal with her and we thought we would have to start grooming her ourselves. Then we decided to give it one last try at Petco Hillsboro and Sierra B. was amazing with her! That’s the only place we will take her now! Highly recommend!

  It would be nice if they said that the dogs can't be on anxiety medication before making an appointment. My husky has bad car anxiety to where she screams in the car the whole way. Her appointment was at 4. We gave her the medication really early in the morning so she was fine and alert. They asked if shes on medication when we were dropping her off and I just said she's on her anxiety meds and she said they will not take dogs on any sedative. It's her anxiety medication and she needs it. We didn't know because it didn't say that anywhere during the booking process. I ended up grooming her myself and will be taking her elsewhere in the future.

  I brought our poodle mix in and asked for them to cut his very long hair to about 1/3 of the current length and asked that they make sure to trim his ears and tail so they don't get knotted. They were behind so it took longer than expected and when I went to pick my dog up, they had nearly shaved him. Every inch of his body had a horribly short buzz cut and the area around his tummy was bald (stretching all the way onto his knees and up to his rib cage, so way way larger than should have been trimmed short). This is not at all the cut we asked for and out dog is now freezing in the cold weather and extremely uncomfortable because his skin is sensitive having never been this exposed to the elements before. I would not recommend anyone with a curly haired dog or with any sort of special coat go there for a haircut.

  Josie is always very friendly and nice. She seems to do a very good job with Hunter. Since I am not there to see very step in the process of the grooming, I can only guess that it was a good experience for both myself and Hunter. The 9 is for almost perfect, because everyone has some room for improvement.
