The GOOD: we were able to get in for appointments fairly quickly, they return calls left on voicemail promptly, and the receptionist and vet tech was very nice. If it wasn’t for that I would give 1 star. THE BAD: The vet we saw was Dr. Robin Lynn Coker, and we saw her twice on our new puppy plan. She was very abrupt, cold, and seemed rude to the vet tech when telling him to do something which we didn’t like at the first visit, she didn’t even greet us when she walked in. We also just found her not to be very personable or kind in general, especially at the second vet visit when she told us we need to go to the emergency vet, and she shamed me for not going sooner. Mind you I used banfield 24/7 chat in the middle of the night prior to see if I needed to go to the emergency vet (my puppy ate some christmas ornaments but was acting fine) and the vet on the chat talked to me and said monitoring until the appointment we had the next morning a few hours later would be fine. Obviously I would take my pet to the emergency vet as soon as he needs it.. that’s why i used the pet chat.. but to be shamed and guilt tripped by the vet instead of just receiving advice in a caring way during what was obviously very stressful and scary for me was unprofessional and not acceptable. I understand there’s personality differences, but there should be a certain level of empathy and kindness given to patients and their pets when you work in the veterinary field, especially when they are going through something scary. We will not be going to her again and I wouldn’t recommend her to anyone. Very judgmental vibes. We have moved to the Willamette Street location with higher hopes. Also, puppy went to the emergency vet and was just fine :).

They did an awful job sewing up my cat's incision after her surgery, she might die and these butchers told me there's nothing they can or are willing to do until I give them another $770. I trusted them, they made a mistake and they don't want to make it right now my cat might die.

We have been using Banfield for the the last 6 years. We used to have good things to say when they helped save our dog with needed surgery many years ago, which is why this is 2 stars instead of 1, but things have changed, and they've made working with them in her end of life care miserable. Our dog is on pills that she needs to take for the rest of her life. For the last year, Every single time we called for a refill, they told us they wouldn't approve her refill until she had an appointment. We obliged every time, and they ensured us each time that they've updated her notes and we would not need to schedule an appointment until labs were needed later. Without fail, every single time we asked for a refill, a new doctor we got passed around to would refuse to refill her prescription without an appointment. We would then have to rush to take time off work to get her in. I cannot emphasize this enough, we would explain the issue every time we went in, and every time they assured us the notes in the file would indicate she was approved for refills. Unfortunately, it seems like they were just placating us in the moment because they never fixed the issue. not only did they waste our time, they also wasted their time and appointment slots because the staff and doctors were not communicating to each other, and failed to update her notes. I would understand if this happened once or twice, but this happened with several different doctors and several different vet techs. It's clear to us that they do not make it a standard practice to ensure patient notes are accurate and doctors seem incapable of reviewing notes from previous patient summaries. We do not recommend this vet at all due to their extremely poor communication, note taking, and refusal to actually resolve a systemic issue when told repeatedly about the mistake. It can't just be coincidence that it would only happen to us every single visit for a year. Avoid Banfield and Go to another veterinarian that trains their employees to update patient notes correctly. They might have good doctors, but that doesn't matter when you can't guarantee they've kept accurate patient files.
