    This review is specifically about the grooming area. I have taken my pup there twice before to get groomed with no issue. Unfortently, the latest appointment has made me not book another appointment with them. I had booked a cut and a bath for my pup and I specifically asked for her face to be trimmed and paws when talking to the tech on the phone. When arriving the day of the appointment about 10 minutes early, I was told I was too early and to walk around the store for ten minutes for my noon appointment. I felt this was very rude and unnessesary given there wasnt a line or other people waiting. Once 12pm hit I went back to the grooming area only to wait another 15 minutes to be waited on. When I was finally met with a tech she tells me my dog is only scheduled for a bath. We exchnaged words of how that is not what I scheduled and why. Finally I said thats fine can we just do a bath and just trim her face. The tech then brings out a brush to run through my dogs fur. She tells me that she cannot do a bath without a trim because of her hair and that I can reschedule. This now was almost 30 minutes past the time I got there and now I am being told they cannot take her.... even though I HAD scheduled her for a trim AND bath originally. This was so fustrating and I will not be going back to this petco for any services or to purchase anything. It honestly seemed like they were trying to get out of doing thier job.

    Grooming 🐾 RIVER is the best groomer I’d ever had!!! We recently moved to Oregon, been to many dog salons/ groomers out of state… none of them could get my girl to look this perfect!!! My dog is a German shepherd + terrier mix and has long coat. Bunch of skin around her neck and when I want her short haired , groomers normally have problems around her face/neck area and my girl ends up with “face-stuck-on-body” look. But River, she just made my girl look fabulous, and it was her first time with my girl!!! My girl is a 10 yrs old senior, but River was wonderful with her :) got her back in 2.5 hours :) I strongly recommend River take care of your pups:):) thank you so much!!! We will be back!!!

    I’d say I had the worst experience today at your store thanks to your manager Chayse. I would hope your team would reconsider his position or even termination after what I have to say. I would never want to own a store knowing I have a manager on duty who can’t even uphold himself to any sort of manager standard. Otherwise I guess petco really be hiring just anybody? Today I came in with my girlfriend whose cat had recently had her diet changed. We came in last week and some manager on duty that day was fantastic. Walked her thru every step and explained you do need a RX card ( but again we were new to all this ) but she kindly said she could email it and help my girlfriend buy the food anyways. We had not had enough time to come back in to talk to the vet side yet. We did come in today asking kindly about how we can get the food and explained how we emailed something last time. I was silent at first because I was just letting my girlfriend explain who did this last time. So I let her explain to chayse at first the entire story. Now here is what I was hearing my girlfriend being incredibly nice and just trying to re explain things to him about how we got thru the transaction last time. My girlfriend was never rude she was just asking nicely and Chayse immediately shut us down did not even care what she had to say. He was so quick to just saying no. I spoke up because I hated seeing how my girlfriend did nothing wrong but was asking about a process we are unfamiliar with and Chayse resulted to being rude, inconsiderate and dismissive. It was almost as if something was bothering him before he was even called up to the front for assistance. I don’t know what is wrong or if he has some mental health issues but it was entirely unacceptable for his behavior. I did speak up in fact because I did not appreciate how he was treating my girlfriend when she was nothing but nice. Now I know my girlfriend will return again and we hope the manager on duty that helped us last time is there. Chayse on the other hand needs to be re trained on how a manager should act. Lastly Chayse..you’re just a manager at a petco not a big accomplishment at all there buddy. No reason to have a power trip with that little “management position”. There is absolutely no reason to be proud about your position. I can understand why you’re so miserable that’s actually the only thing that makes sense out of all this. Good luck bud.

    We come here very often and every time, the employees have been incredibly nice and helpful. Except today. My cat recently was diagnosed with kidney disease so I’m in the process of switching her food over. Last week, I came in with her new prescription diet on my phone from the vet with no clue what to do. I didn’t catch the ladies name who helped me but now I wish I would have. I would give her five stars. She not only was able to fulfill my prescription via email, she walked me through my options and ensured I knew what to get based on the prescription. I hadn’t had time to go to Vetco this week to get the RX card so I went in wondering if they’d be able to do whatever process the lady had done for me before. Now as a manager, I understand policy and customer service. I also understand the manager’s attitude reflects on the staff’s attitude greatly. I don’t think Chayse understands this, or maybe just doesn't care. A usual helpful team was no where to be found this Sunday. After speaking with two employees who were not helpful at all, Mr Chayse came over already seeming grumpy with an attitude of “why are you making me do my job”. No answers to my questions, no help, just “you don’t have the RX card, we can’t do anything for you”. I was trying to explain the lady had helped me before, was able to fulfill the prescription, and wondering why they weren’t able to do the same process. Was it because Vetco was closed? Was the lady who helped me in a higher position than Mr Chayse or more trained than him? Was is it like a one time thing the lady could help me with and not again? I have no idea because they wouldn’t answer my question and kept repeating the same thing. Really, it just felt like they didn’t want to be slightly inconvenienced. Mr Chayse didn't want to problem solve or be helpful. Disappointing as we’ve had great interactions with every person the past three years we’ve been coming to this location.
