This review is long overdue, but I highly recommend Vetco. Both Dr. Nekota and Dr. Blakemore were with me every step of the way through my cat Oliver’s CKD, IBD, and suspected cancer. They never pushed unnecessary treatments that would have worsened his quality of life. Instead, they thoughtfully presented the best options to keep him comfortable during his final years. Whenever I was panicked about his condition or had an urgent question, they responded promptly and never made me feel like a burden for asking. When his condition declined rapidly, they made room to see him the same day and performed a compassionate quality-of-life assessment. They guided me through making the incredibly difficult decision to let him go and provided comfort, reassurance, and heartfelt support throughout the entire process. Oliver was able to pass with dignity, and I truly wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. I trusted them with his care then, and I continue to trust them with the care of my two other cats. I recommend this clinic often to family and friends and will continue to do so without hesitation.

Dr. Akemi Nakota should be fired - my groomer recommended that I ask for trazodone from my vet few hours prior to appointments so that he can be less anxious during grooming sessions and I received 10 tablets of 100 mg trazodone with instructions, “give 1 tablet by mouth 2 hours before stressful events for anti-anxiety”. I just gave my dog a tablet and he is shaking uncontrollably and scratching randomly at himself and on towels and random things which is incredibly unlike him and now I am afraid he may be experiencing serotonin syndrome - it turns out recommended dosage for trazodone is 1-3 mg per lb - which means he should have had 18-54 mg MAX and I gave him a whole 100 mg tablet. This is almost 5x the recommended amount! This is insanely irresponsible and I’ve never had issues with VetCo prior to this but my appt with this doctor from what I recall was incredibly rushed and impersonal, she prob spent max 3 minutes with my dog so maybe this isn’t the doctor’s fault entirely, but VetCo overbook appointments throughout the day as well. Super upset about this.

I got a their free pet exam to get my cats prescription refilled (the vet wanted 120 for the refill appt!) And the entire appointment was just upselling from the veterinary assistant which is expected but she was so rude when the veterinarian came in saying "yeah, she just doesnt want to do anything for her I guess..." with an attitude. Just because I didn't want to pay twice the price for my cat's meds and shots than I usually do! If you offer a free service then it should just be that without pressuring and guilting potential clients to the point they don't ever want to come back. She got her shots by the way for 70 dollars at the shelter instead of the 150 they quoted me.

Very clean, friendly staff, very well organized. However I have not received an itemized receipt. I do highly recommend, they treat your pets with loving care. Plus the waiting room was not full of other pets that could be sick, etc. and contagious.
