Google Maps says they closes at 9:00 p.m., confirmed by business 4 weeks ago. However the sign on the door says that they close at 8:00pm and it's 8:30pm. Waste of a trip so I ordered it food and some other stuff via Amazon and setup a auto-ship subscription. After visits bi-weekly for over 13 years this was probably my last trip to petsmart.

The cashier went out of his way to show us a selection that works when the store didn't have an option for cats.

My first two appointments were canceled after being scheduled online. The groomer assigned did not handle large dogs, and this was only communicated to me the day before each appointment. A third appointment was canceled the morning of due to the groomer calling in sick. At a subsequent appointment, I was told my dog couldn’t be washed due to mats in her coat. She had one larger mat and a few minor ones, which I personally removed at home within five minutes. I then spent over an hour brushing and grooming her thoroughly. I had to cancel another appointment due to the birth of my baby, and rescheduled again as soon as I was able. Before the next appointment, I spent significant time brushing her thoroughly, using a comb to ensure there were no mats. My partner brought her in, as I stayed home with our newborn. The staff again claimed she had mats. My partner explained that she has a naturally thick undercoat, as she is a Newfoundland, and that a comb could go through it easily. They still refused to groom her. Following this, we had her coat examined by both our veterinarian (Forest Heights Vet) and a former professional groomer, and both confirmed there were no mats present. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating, particularly while caring for a newborn. My dog’s nails were severely overgrown, and I had to have them trimmed at the vet since Petco refused to groom her. It felt as though the staff are purposefully refusing to service my dog. One employee even admitted that grooming large, long-coated dogs like mine takes significantly more time, and that they lose money since they can only book one dog at a time. Their grooming department is a joke.

I’m really disappointed with how Petco treats their betta fish. I went in today and so many of them were clearly sick, with thick swollen lips, missing fins, and poor color, sitting in tiny dirty cups with no heat or filtration. I ended up buying one because I felt so bad leaving him there, but customers shouldn’t feel forced to ‘rescue’ animals because the store isn’t caring for them properly. There was one red one in critical condition and I feel so bad for him that I’m considering going back for it. Betta fish are living animals that need clean water, warmth, and basic care. Seeing them in this condition is heartbreaking and unacceptable for a company that sells pets. Petco really needs to improve their betta care standards and train staff better. These fish deserve humane treatment.
