They won't let you cancel your subscription if your pet dies! You will keep getting a monthly charge to remind you of of your painful loss. Do they need to? No. Do they care? No. Straight up evil. After 9 great years I had to put my cat down earlier this month; she was the sweetest cat I'd ever owned. Obviously I was heartbroken. The staff at Banfield were wonderful throughout the death process. This 1 star review is for the corporate ownership who clearly only care about the bottom line and not a grieving pet owner. I had been on the Wellness + plan for years as my cat needed occasional dental work, which just renewed in November. When I contacted Banfield to cancel the policy after my cat died, they told me I needed to pay the remaining 9 months of the Wellness Plan, despite the fact that my cat is no longer alive to be seen and treated. I was flabbergasted - their reasoning was because I had used the plan benefits (procedure discounts, office visits) for 3 months, so I needed to pay the full plan amount. I obviously wouldn't have signed up for the full year if I knew my cat was going to die so soon. To top it off, my cat was too sick to receive any dental care so I never used the "Plus" part of my plan. I asked if they would at least lower the regular Wellness plan but apparently their "system doesn't allow that". I feel taken advantage of in a time of grief. When your pet dies, it feels evil to keep charging grieving owners for services they obviously won't be using. Now I'll get a painful reminder of my loss every month when I see the monthly Wellness charge hit my credit card. I understand this is a business and cancelling a plan would normally require paying the full year, but the death of a pet feels like this should be an obvious exception. I'm leaving my multi-year experience with Banfield with a very sour taste and I do not recommend anyone give their money to this company; it's clear they will do anything they can to suck more money from you before you go.

I would give them zero stars if I could. I had an appointment scheduled for my cat who has an ongoing issue. The called me the day of to cancel my 3:30 appointment cause the doctor is leaving at 4pm. WHY EVEN LET ME SCHEDULE?! I scheduled 14 days before my appointment. Now I have to take her to an urgent care (It's sunday and none of the vets are open) and pay a ton of money for something they have helped her with in the past at a different banfield clinic. I was also got called yesterday to confirm the appointment. Did they bother to check when the doctor was leaving?

I can't recommend this specific Banfield pet hospital. The first time they called us to bring in our cats early. When my husband arrived he was informed that the vet left for lunch. Why do they call us then if we can come on early. Seems like having an early lunch is more important to do your job. Today was the worst. My husband was waiting for a long time for nothing with our cat Jimmy who got into a fight and had a terrible wound near his eye. He was told that they mixed up his scheduled appointment and the vet won't have any time to see Jimmy today after waiting for a long time. He was offered to schedule a new appointment for another day. I never experienced such rudeness. They weren't even sorry. Don't go there. Lunch breaks are more important than helping pets, I guess. Yes, Jimmy's appointment was scheduled for 1 PM. (12/12/25) We went to other Banfield hospitals and never had an issue. Hopefully Banfield will do something about it. You can't treat your clients like that. Let scared and wounded animals wait for nothing!

We have been going to the Cedar Hills Banfield for many years. The whole team is always nice and they take the time to really care for dogs. Eight years ago, when our dog Otto had heat stroke, it was all hands on deck. The entire team treated him. Otto made a full recovery with no side effects due to their heroic action, which we have never forgotten. From that time on Otto looked forward to going to the vet.
