I work at a veterinary hospital but embarrassingly have little knowledge of mice, she educated me and seemed to be extremely well versed in husbandry, and all around care including symptoms to look out for incase my mouse becomes ill. She explained what to do if i notice those symptoms and was incredibly friendly throughout the entire interaction. This girl deserves a raise! I can’t remember her name but i think she may have been wearing overalls.

If it wasn’t good in the past it would be 1 star; but I scheduled an 8am grooming appointment for my dog today. I get there at 8am and no one was there; so I went back in my car. I called and no one answered; then a few minutes later the manager pulls up next to me and her and an employee walk in. So I wait a few minutes more to let them settle in (8:15am) so they could open things. I know things happen and I like to give grace and was fine. I go to the door again and no one acknowledges me to open the door for my appointment so I go back in my car to call again and no one answers. I left a voicemail and never got a call back; and decided to go to pooches Nextdoor instead and they thankfully welcomed me kindly with no appointment. I call petco to let them know I’m cancelling my 8am appointment and told them cause no one would let me in (it’s 8:30 at this point) and no apologies or anything. Just an “ok I’ll get it cancelled” I’m pretty easy going and patient with people but this was ridiculous. I’m glad it happened because I’m now a customer at pooches instead and they’re so kind but very disappointed in the way this was handled. They used to start at 9 and I guess recently started letting grooming in at 8am which is great for me with my work schedule; but why change grooming to 8 if your employees aren’t even gonna let these clients in?? I booked my appointment a week in advance too.
