  I use Petco mainly when I purchase fish, aquatic plants, or bottom feeders. They always have clean tanks, a good selection of healthy fish, plants, and bottom feeders. The employees are always nice, helpful, and use care when catching the fish and bagging them! This is my 30 gallon with Caribbean sand, live plants, 6 mosquito fish, 6 snails, and my newest addition from Petco an Albino Bristlenose Plecos I named Speedy Gonzalez! He seems very happy and is adapting well to his new home!

  The only advantage for using Petco for dog grooming for me is the ability to get it done on your time schedule. Staff is lacking in many ways (my opinion). I gave my dog’s vet, a week old report, and after looking at it asked she asked if he had Cushing’s disease and I said no, he does have heart issues and takes meds and she said I know, but I thought he had a disease. Different girl when I returned to pick him up, she asked if he had his own collar/leash and I said yes so she goes back and says can’t find it says the girl who took him back says he didn’t have one (not that they couldn’t find it and maybe THEY misplaced it). Really? It was not a real loss if they did, but I'm not happy with the attitude. She gets one down hanging on the wall and puts it on him and I told her take it off (I admit by now I don’t need this accusation of not bringing him in on a leash-which could happen sometimes- but not today, and possibly trying to get another one. By now I’m done, stick a fork in me done, and leave. The leash they put on my dog was certainly an upgrade from the one I took him in on. The leash he went in with was just a short green one with only a circle ring to pull the strap through and he came home with one that had a snap. I don’t need anymore leashes, I have many leashes, in my car, my purse, and my home and not one of them did I have to lie about taking my dog in on one to get another.

  Employees put stuff where it does not belong. You check out and its twice the price. Or its cheaper on the website so have to price match everything. I will be taking my animal needs business elsewere.

  When I scheduled my dog's grooming appointment, I specifically requested NOT to trim his undercoat, NOT to use the Furminator, and NOT to do anything with his fur other than bath and dry. Then, when I left him at Petco, I repeated all of that, and the lady assured me it would be followed up on. However, when I went back to pick him up, his undercoat was completely gone, his fur was obviously trimmed, and he was behaving differently, as if he had been hurt. On top of that, I was charged for the procedure I specifically stated TWICE that I did NOT want. I could not have been clearer that his fur SHOULD NOT be trimmed. He is a Samoyed, and this procedure can seriously damage his fur and skin health. I am a veterinarian. My serious advice is not to bring your pets to Petco in Stillwater, Oklahoma. EVER.
