- LBLariane BarcelosFeb 23, 20261.0When I scheduled my dog's grooming appointment, I specifically requested NOT to trim his undercoat, NOT to use the Furminator, and NOT to do anything with his fur other than bath and dry. Then, when I left him at Petco, I repeated all of that, and the lady assured me it would be followed up on. However, when I went back to pick him up, his undercoat was completely gone, his fur was obviously trimmed, and he was behaving differently, as if he had been hurt. On top of that, I was charged for the procedure I specifically stated TWICE that I did NOT want. I could not have been clearer that his fur SHOULD NOT be trimmed. He is a Samoyed, and this procedure can seriously damage his fur and skin health. I am a veterinarian. My serious advice is not to bring your pets to Petco in Stillwater, Oklahoma. EVER.
