  I would not recommend Dr. Lisa Good based on our recent experience, especially with feline care. My friend’s cat was brought in with a bladder so enlarged it was about the size of a fist. Instead of expressing the bladder or addressing the obstruction appropriately, he was sent home with antibiotics and pain medication. He worsened and had to be brought back. At that point, a catheter was placed and he was kept for three days receiving only subcutaneous fluids. He was passing some urine, but no blood work was done during that time, and he was not placed on IV fluids. When I called to ask why blood work hadn’t been performed and why he wasn’t on an IV, Dr. Good stated she “didn’t think it was necessary” and that they don’t like to use IVs on cats because it “stresses them out.” The cat was already on pain medication and was not showing signs of stress — he was critically ill. I requested lab work and she called and told me, “His BUN is 130. He just needs to be put down.” That delivery was incredibly unprofessional and lacked compassion. We transferred him to another veterinarian immediately. The new vet placed him on IV fluids right away and began round-the-clock blood work monitoring. While they were honest that his condition was very serious and prognosis guarded, they showed urgency, compassion, and a willingness to try. Sadly, he passed away. However, after 72 hours of what we believe was inadequate care, his condition had deteriorated significantly and we can’t help but feel that earlier intervention with appropriate IV therapy and monitoring may have given him a better chance. This experience was devastating, and we felt dismissed and unheard during a critical emergency situation.

  We have been going to her since her dad was the vet. Now Dr Lisa has Dr O in with her and he is FABULOUS also. I Highly recommend both of them..And also in the boarding.
