Absolutely amazing service my Chewie was taken care of. Quick and painless. I love this place. I bring all of our furry babies here. For this reason.

Is there a way to give 0 stars? I don’t like being lied to and that is all that happens here. I arrived early for my appointment at which time I was told that it was canceled (not by me) earlier that morning….then the “tech” insisted that it was a different dog, “with the same name” that was cancelled, then she told me that we had to have a heartworm test before we could get his flea/tick medicine….cool, no biggie, but then she said I had to make an appointment….for later that day….if my appointment wasn’t canceled, then oh my….we are good…..naw…..she lied because they apparently did cancel the appointment…..and I had to come back 4 hours later I am definitely looking for a different vet office

I have cancelled my Premier Rewards and will never go to this Vet again. We had several positive experiences at the Edmond location previously with our pets, but the last two times booked with the Norman location as it was the only location to have appointments that were next day. We brought our senior dog Shyla in on 8/15 with a chief complaint that she had stopped eating and was vomiting. We were on time for our appointment, but waited a long time to see the vet. Dr. Belcourt recommended that we have X-rays done (two views) and bloodwork. $700 later she recommended we take her for an abdominal ultrasound that they cannot provide here. She was given nausea medicine and that seemed to help with the vomiting, but she was still not eating. Later that week we took her to another vet. When I say it took that vet 5 minutes to figure out what was wrong with her, I’m not exaggerating. She had an abscess in her mouth causing pain and nausea from infection. The vet said any routine physical exam would have confirmed her diagnosis by simply opening her mouth. I went back to Vetco in person and told them the situation. Everyone was polite enough and they did offer to refund the charges for X-rays, but I was told they cannot refund for the blood tests because the “tests are expensive”. I was told that I would have to speak with the office manager and that she would call me the next day. She did not call me the next day (Saturday) or Monday. When I called Tuesday the office manager (Queen) stated that she “stands by her choice in not refunding the blood tests” and also told me that she was the tech in the room when our dog was examined. She also confirmed that the vet did not look IN the dogs mouth, only at the surface of the exterior of the teeth. I asked if it was routine during a physical exam to open the dogs mouth, and she said no. She also stated that it was routine to do bloodwork on EVERY senior dog visit, even though we had just had our other senior dog up last month and it was not recommended. When picking up my refund for the X-rays I very explicitly asked both women at the counter if the normal exam covers the mouth and they said yes. I also asked if during those routine exams if it is procedure to open the dog’s mouth and she said yes (Kalyn?). The manager doubling down on refunding the money because “if we did dental work we’d have to do it anyway” is honestly the most frustrating part. Now I have to take my refund to file small claims in Cleveland County to get my money back that was spent on unnecessary bloodwork. The good news is, after a round of antibiotics and a follow up at another vet, my dog is eating again. I wish I would have never come here. Such a waste of time and money.
