- TMTami Marler, MBANov 10, 20255.0Dr. Stefani Barnett of Animal Medical Center in Muskogee is the epitome of compassion and veterinary expertise. She's helped us rehabilitate dozens of horses rescued from the worst possible conditions. To many other people, these "rejects" would be worthless, especially compared to the high-dollar creatures Dr. Barnett surely sees. They've been betrayed, abandoned, neglected and (in many cases) abused; but to Dr. Barnett, they're as precious as any $100,000 racehorse or show pony. I'll never forget the day we pulled a profoundly lame registered Missouri Fox Trotter from a kill pen with the expectation the vet would recommend immediate euthanasia. We met the hauler at AMCM, and Dr. Barnett - instead of making a few hundred bucks on the spot to euthanize her - said, "I still see life in her eyes," and, like she says almost every time she comes out to our rescue, she said, "IF SHE WERE MY HORSE, I'd give her a chance." That was more than 5 years ago, and Anastasia is still living her best life on our rescue. We've seen a lot of vets in the near decade since we started our rescue. Dr. Barnett is the model by which we assess veterinary care. Her compassion, respect, and love for animals (she also sees our dogs) shines through with every farm visit. We can't recommend her enough.

My Sweetie got parvo, and she was very sick.We tried to take care of her and couldn't.So we took her back to the doctor they hospitalized her.And they saved her life.We're so grateful, it's a wonderful vet.We go there the vets.They're wonderful They're friendly.They love on the animals and they're very gentle with them.They're very kind and loving to them.They take extremely good care of them.We go there.We take my sweetie, there.She's a big ole lap Pitt bull. I'm very grateful to them for saving her life. And we buy her monthly proveto medicine. There they've got the chew kind that's beef flavored, no more 7 pills down her throat. It's great They'll do anything and everything for it. That is a wonderful, wonderful place. I highly recommend it.
